Starlight Nails

I was so nervous having to find a new nail salon after moving back to VA. However, Jenny did an amazing job on my nails both times I have been there. The whole experience is relaxing and enjoyable. I sipped hot green tea they provided, with a coconut type cookie. Such a treat! The best part is Jenny dos such a wonderful and through job on my nails, and I’m so excited to have found my nail “person” ❤️

The service was overall positive. The staff was kind, professional, and highly skilled, and the clean and uncrowded salon made for a relaxing experience. My only issue was with the durability of the dip powder itself. It started to crack and chip on the fourth day, which was disappointing since I expected it to last longer than the gel nails. Sadly I got busy and couldn't call to ask if they would do repair in free of charge as other nail salons do if it happens within a week... Also, they said 54 for the dip powder but charged me 57 with card. I was confused if that extra charge was for the card fee? Which I didn't really mind but I could've paid in cash if they explained it. But overall, I would go back for my nails done again.

I came here for a gel pedicure and my technician, Ariunaa was so sweet and professional. She took her time with each step and her massage was amazing. She used the perfect amount of force and didn’t rush at all. They offer a variety of scents for the water. I chose a spa option so it also included so added perks. The owner, Jenny also introduced herself and made sure I was comfortable with something to drink and provided light refreshments. I always love when the owners/managers of establishments go out of their way to make their patrons comfortable. You can also tell the employees enjoy working for her. The salon is very clean and the massage chairs are new and quiet. Parking can be a little difficult depending on the time and day because it’s located in a busy strip mall with a popular kbbq restaurant. All in all, I’m very happy with the results. My gel pedicure is still looking good after 4 weeks and I will be back!

I hate to make this review but I can’t let people go through what I did. I asked for a pink glitter French tip and showed a photo. What I got was this messy, purply attempt. The first person I was given to admitted to me they don’t know how to do French tips because she’s new. So I was moved to the, seemingly, person in charge (each nail tech was asking her questions confirming prices, she was talking them through how to do things). The person in charge struggled to get the design and called over the new person to say “this is a good opportunity to learn” 😒 of course the new girl could also not accomplish what I wanted, she’d let me know earlier she can’t. I had to pay $80 to be passed around by people who do not know what they’re doing whether they be new or experienced. Please don’t make the same mistake I did and check your nails. The lighting was bad inside so I did not realize exactly HOW bad they were until I was already outside and paid for the service

It was my first time visiting the place and I'm definitely coming back. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the staff were friendly and smiling, and my nails feel better than ever and look amazing. I couldn't have asked for more. Totally worth it. Hands down one of the best spas in town.
