UNIVERSAL NAILS

Came in today with no appt. They got me in so fast despite it being busy! My nail tech was Lynn and she was so sweet and made sure everything was perfect! If I lived in Utah this would definitely be my go to nail salon. My friend recommended this place to me and I’m glad she did! If I’m ever in the area again I’m definitely coming back :)

Kian did such an amazing job on my nails! He was so patient and detail-oriented, fixing the uneven work I had done at another local salon. My nails came out flawless, and I really appreciated the time and care he put into making them perfect. Highly recommend Kian if you want beautiful nails and an amazing experience!

If I could leave no stars I would. I came to this nail salon for the reviews because they all looked great, but was incredibly disappointed with my experience and plan on never coming back. When I first walked in I wanted a basic manicure, no gel. When this was told to the gentleman that did my nails, he sat back down in his chair (as if he wasn’t going to do something so basic). He comes and does my nails, doesn’t clean under them (just does cuticle treatment), rushes through the painting, and sends me to sit under the fan. When I was done under the fan, the receptionist noticed my disappointment. I needed another coat on a few nails, and some nails were blank in areas. The gentleman then came back over and added another coat (over the top coat) and then reapplied a second top coat. After sitting under the dryer for another ten minutes, I paid and left. After about 45 minutes, I went and tried on clothes. My polish rubbed off in areas and shifted on other nails. I called and was told that normally they “say” to wait an hour. I was never told this, although there were three people that had seen my nails. They offered to let me come back and repaint them, but I am leaving town and had no time. After this phone call, I waited and called back again and asked for a manager. I was told by the receptionist, “The manager is not here right now, but I can take a message.” I responded with, “No, I’d really like to talk to a manager.” Which is crazy because then the manager was available to talk with me. I told the manager my situation and I wouldn’t be in town. The only offer she had was to fix them today. I explained I would be gone until Sunday (3 days after my appointment was scheduled), and she replied she could fix them today or tomorrow. That was her only solution. I asked to speak with the owner and there was no specific time she could give me to talk to them, stating they only pop in and it’s not scheduled. It is very safe to say that this place only values high paying customers and is very rude if you want a basic manicure. I will never be going back and I hope that others don’t have to experience this.

I’ve been to this salon many times and have always booked my appointments in advance. I’ve always been very happy with both the service and the quality of work. I understand a short wait is sometimes expected—15 minutes or so is reasonable—but today was especially frustrating. Altogether, I waited about an hour. I arrived at 3:00 for my appointment and waited quite a while before my pedicure started. The pedicure itself was fine, but the gel polish ended up bumpy and on my skin. Afterward, I was left waiting again to have my nails done, and during that time, I saw walk-in clients taken ahead of me. With no updates and still waiting at 4:30, I had to leave. It’s disappointing to see walk-ins prioritized over clients with appointments. If scheduled times aren’t being honored, it defeats the purpose of booking ahead. I hope they make improvements to respect customers’ time going forward.

Universal Nails is my go to! The salon is clean, staff is kind/ professional, and my nails always turn out even better than I could’ve imagined. Thank you Annie for these super cute sets 😊✨🌟
