Beacon Nail Bar

I hadn’t had my nails done in a long time, so I was really excited for this appointment until the experience took a turn. I chose a red French tip. The base was done nicely, but once the French tip was started, it looked uneven and lopsided, with one side noticeably thicker than the other. After two nails on each hand were completed, I politely spoke up and apologized for not saying something sooner. Unfortunately, the nail technician responded in a very hostile manner, telling me, “You should’ve told me sooner,” in a mean and dismissive tone. I understood her point and apologized again, simply asking if the French tips could be made a bit thinner. From that point on, her attitude became increasingly hostile. It was also very obvious that she was talking about me to the nail technician next to her, as they both looked over at me and my nails while speaking. This made me extremely uncomfortable, and I no longer felt at ease addressing any further concerns. She continued working on my nails, but her frustration was clearly reflected in the final result. My nails are uneven and not worth the amount I paid. A young woman I believe to be a supervisor came over and spoke to the technician, and it appeared she had already been informed of the situation, as she also looked closely at me and my nails. Due to how I was treated and the uncomfortable environment, I did not feel safe or comfortable speaking up to anyone at the salon. I am very upset not only with how my nails turned out, but also with how I was treated as a customer. I would not recommend this nail salon as a French tip full set is proved to be a complicated request.

THE BEST!!! If I could give Beacon 10 stars I would! I know nail salons are so hard to find, I had been looking for a new home base for a few years and then when Beacon Nail Bar opened I tried it (close to two years ago) and I have never gone anywhere else! Nikki, the owner, is so attentive, kind, and very efficient. I have never had a bad experience here and really appreciate this salon! The prices are great and very comparable to other salons in Dallas. I go to them for waxing, pedicure, manicures, dip, gel, French, EVERYTHING. I always love going to Beacon because I know I’ll be able to enjoy a drink and relax. I have recommended this salon to multiple friends and in fact take my mother-in-law here for pedicures every time she’s in town. Lana is my absolute favorite for pedicures and Lisa does a great job on dip, but really you can’t go wrong. As long as you communicate what you want, let them know if something is wrong, or if you need anything they will help you and fix anything you need. I wish I could leave 100 reviews for them and I tried to go through and find more pictures to post. Definitely recommend!

First, they do not take American Express, it was not noted anywhere until I went to pay, she just told me they don’t accept it…there was no sign or notice anywhere. The $105 pedicure I received was very nice, and my daughter (10) enjoyed her $85 pedicure. However, the ladies that did our nails were not as pleasant, or competent. My daughter’s tech cut her nails so short when she filed them she cut her skin with the file. However, her dip powder with chrome looks very nice. My tech said I couldn’t get gel x tend even though I’ve had it multiple times before in my hometown, so the other tech told her to do builder gel with tips. I had an event coming up so I needed my nails done, so I said fine. Worst mistake ever. She even turned off my massage chair and wouldn’t let me have it on while she did my nails. I’ve included pics of what I asked for vs. what I got, plus 2 nails broke off within 24 hours, and you can see how absurdly thin the gel was with 3 coats of gel polish!!! There was no apex in these nails and my thumbs were super short, while my fingers were longer varying lengths all across. I paid $105 for these nails, and they are trash. I have done my own nails and done an exponentially better job than I received at this salon.

UPDATE: 20 OCT 2025 I am back again with an update. Lana is no longer at BNB so Julie is my nail artist. We're working the kinks out trying to get my nails shaped to sqounded (SQUARE & CORNERS ROUND). Julie is a perfectionist like me and works very hard to accommodate me. She's fun to laugh with. Kimmy is a gentle soul very meticulous, gentle, and sweet. Guys, I cannot say enough how I'm elated to have found BNB...they are the TRUTH. Very professional and the salon is spotless. Autumn is my favorite season. Here are images of my DARK CHOCOLATE nails with both matte and shiny finishes. I'm a client for LIFE! ************************************ I am a new client of Beacon Nail Bar. And I must say my due diligence paid off. I was seen by both Kimmy (Pedi) and Lana (Dip) and they did not disappoint. They were very gentle and gave me precisely what I requested. The salon is beautiful and clean. Tiffany and Nikki are friendly, professional, and accommodating. I was traveling from Frisco to the Oak Lawn area for these services and grateful to find a new home. A FOREVER CLIENT...

I absolutely love this place! The staff is so nice and welcoming. Lisa did an incredible job on my nails. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she replicated it exactly how I wanted. She took her time and was meticulous to every detail. I highly recommend her.
