Island Massage Spa

I visited this spa hoping for a relaxing and rejuvenating experience, but unfortunately it missed the mark in too many ways. The entire place had a very corporate feel that took away any sense of warmth or comfort. It clearly wanted to present itself as a luxury spa, yet the atmosphere, service, and overall experience did not reflect that intention. From the moment I walked in, it felt more like a business trying to sell the idea of luxury rather than a place that actually delivers it. The environment felt polished but impersonal. The staff were polite, but the interactions felt scripted rather than genuinely welcoming. Even the treatment itself lacked the presence and care that make a massage feel healing or restorative. For the price point and the branding, I expected something far more attentive, grounded, and authentic. Instead, the visit felt like being processed through a system rather than cared for by a spa interested in my comfort or wellbeing. I truly hope they find a way to bring heart, warmth, and real luxury into the experience. At this price and with this branding, customers deserve more than an attempt at a high-end feel. They deserve the real thing.

Holy smokes, color me utterly impressed!! What a piece of heaven tucked away in Burleson! I scheduled a massage with Derrick, who was absolutely fabulous. I’ve had a lot of massages in my life and this was one of the best! They have a beautiful little cafe area to get a coffee or water and a locker room with a full shower and sauna. I didn’t take my phone in with me so I didn’t take pics but it was the most relaxing hour of my life today. Go check them out!

This is a beautiful and very tastefully decorated spa. Very clean and comfortable. The staff were all very sweet and helpful. I LOVE the sauna!! What a great touch! And the privet shower room made it feel like I was at home. The massage was fabulous and I can’t wait to come back!

I’m so glad I was able to get an appointment during my short trip to Texas. Hubby and I were in town for President’s Day weekend but our only downtime was on the Friday, which was Valentine’s Day. I didn’t expect that this beautiful spa would have any openings for our last minute booking but they truly went above and beyond! They were so accommodating and found a way to get us in for afternoon appointments - for my sister, too! We were thrilled! If I could give more than 5 stars, I ABSOLUTELY would. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warmth. The ladies at the reception desk were so welcoming, friendly and professional. LAYLA walked us back and gave us the run down of the amenities - lockers, sauna, waiting/lounge area. After changing into super soft robes, we headed out to the lounge area. The refreshments provided were top-notch. Delicious coffee (my hubby had espresso), yogurt, granola, “passion” lemonade (I think it had passion fruit juice in it - delicious!), assorted chocolates and caramels, just an assortment of quality items. We guiltily indulged! For my treatment, I opted for a combination massage of Deep Tissue and Swedish and was VERY pleased. I requested the hot stone add-on and that was the way to go - a soothing addition. The lovely DESTINY was my therapist and she was fantastic! What stood out is that she gave my hands and feet attention that they SO needed. I’m planning on booking a foot massage “add-on” with her the next time I visit. Truly one of the BEST massages I’ve ever had! Everything about this place was wonderful! I cannot recommend Island Massage Spa ENOUGH! Thank you to SALLY and her amazing TEAM! The 3 of us were on “CLOUD 9” when we FLOATED out of there. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely wonderful! Got another session booked before I left. Frankie is absolutely wonderful. I feel much better after just one session. Very clean, professional, and calming atmosphere. Staff is great as well. Met the owner and was very informative of the massage I was getting. I can't wait to come back!
