LUX NAIL SALON

Worst nails I have gotten done in college station, so sad because I also paid more than other places would have charged me. Customer service was good, everyone was nice and did not have to wait long. But the nails were not it. Horrible shape, lumpy, and the amount of glue left under my nails was CRAZY! I literally have never seen nails this thick and so much glue left under them. I did not have extra time to sit there 2 more hours for them to get redone….

I went here for my birthday nails. I got red chrome which the chrome was $15 extra, typically $5-10 as I get my nails done monthly. Less than 24 hours later, it was chipping and the chrome had already became speckled. The nails are see through and thin. I came in two days later and asked for it repaired. Mai was kind when repairing it but during the first service her and her coworker were not saying very kind things as I understood Vietnamese coming from a Vietnamese mother. Nothing they said were as rude as Tammy, the larger older compressed woman, who asked Mai what she was doing and called me a “devil child” in Vietnamese which I was taken aback by especially for a service I paid nearly $100 dollars for which did not last. I confronted the front desk lady about it to which she apologized greatly for but did not offer anything for compensation such as a discount. Very disappointed in this salon try to avoid it.

Best place to go get your nails done. I was amazed by how quickly she understood what I wanted and made it happened. The customer service was astonishing. As soon as I sat down I had a drink and was being seen even when fully packed. I will come here again and again.

Today was my first time at Lux and I had a very pleasant experience. My tech, Andy, was very friendly and he made the experience even more enjoyable. I came in wanting a full set with a spooky design for October and I had a picture of what I wanted. He definitely exceeded my expectations. The only “negative” thing I would say is that the pricing changed from when I booked to when I sat down. The design I wanted was $30 extra, which is not a problem, I just would’ve liked to know that design was extra. This definitely could’ve been a problem on my end too, just me not paying a lot of attention to detail or fine print, which happens. However, I came at a time where they were offering 10-15% off your total, so that was a surprise! Overall, I would definitely recommend!!

I absolutely love this salon! Everyone is so sweet and friendly. I have someone new every time I come in and my nails always look amazing! I’m constantly getting compliments on my sets and will only do business with Lux from now on!
