NAIL BOX SALON

Visited this salon with a friend for the 1st time 4 days ago. It looked super cute and nice online and we were really excited to try it out. Biggest disappointment! Walked in & asked for dip powder French. Well my nail tech said no, he could do acrylic or gel x because dip is too fragile and nail would break ?? I always get dip so I didn't understand this at all. I said okay, well let's just try acrylic I guess. I ask for almond French tip, in a buttery color. He says acrylic is $55 and add in French design extra. I say okay not bad of a price. Except when I go to pay and the cashier rings me up for $85!! How? She says the French tip alone was an additional $20. Are you kidding me? Since when is French an extra 20?? Plus shape and length which added to $85. I pay the amount plus tip. Well the very next day, the gel French tip is already peeling/cracking. I am so upset, $85 for French and just to have them start peeling the very next day! This has never happened to me. Will not be returning. Definitely do not recommend. 2 stars because the salon is very nice and the staff was friendly.

I had a very good experience at Nail Box salon. Julia did an amazing job with my pedicure, she was friendly, gentle and took very good care of me. I’ll definitely come back with her next time I’m due for a pedi. The place is very clean and pretty. Make sure you ask for Julia, she is very good.

Updated Review: Unfortunately, this set didn’t hold up—the gel polish started peeling within a week. I went back after about the 3rd week to the salon for a fix and had a 9:30 AM appointment. I was greeted and asked to wait while the artists arrived. After waiting 25 minutes, I explained the issue with my nails. Why don’t they have someone there for appointment times? 25 minutes?The artist recommended switching to dip powder, which I agreed to. I asked for the same color I previously had, but received a completely different shade. The dip application was thick, uneven, and one of my fingers was cut during the process. The entire appointment took over two hours, and by the end, I just wanted it to be over. I will say though the nail art is fire. Soon after, the salon sent a text asking how my appointment went. I shared all of this feedback, everything that went wrong, but no one ever responded or reached out to try and make it right. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning, and now I’m stuck with nails I don’t like until I can find a new salon. Prior Review: This was my second time coming to Nail Box, and I’m so glad I came back! I waited a bit between visits because it was my first time trying Gel-X and I wasn’t sure how long it would last—but it held up beautifully for 4 weeks! I only came back because of the nail growth. This time, I got a fill and it turned out just as amazing as the first time. Both visits, I had religious art done on my ring finger, and they absolutely nailed it—super detailed and beautifully done. The team here really takes their time and it shows. Highly recommend!

I usually have a good experience at this salon, but my recent visit was disappointing. I came in to remove my Gel-X and get dip, but the first tech got acetone all over my sweater and couldn’t fully remove the Gel-X. Midway through, I was passed off to Michelle. I’ve had her before and didn’t love the experience, but this time her attitude was worse—she was visibly annoyed when I asked to see how a color looked on my skin tone. I felt uncomfortable and ended up leaving without finishing my service. I called afterward to speak with the owner, Kim whom I’ve always liked, and left my name and number. I followed up again five days later and was told there’s a note, but still no call back. I’m disappointed because I used to enjoy coming here, but the lack of care and poor customer service have made me reconsider returning.

This is by far my favorite new nail salon 💅 in Allen!! I’ve tried Citrus Nail, Angel nail salon (now closed), stopped by Wynn…and many others. Nail Box is elegant, clean, my ginger 🫚 tea was on point, and Nancy was an angel that carefully addressed a VERY painful ingrown toenail. “My” did a nice job on my manicure and the mini massage/hot towel was relaxing. Now, for price….$20 for the basic manicure and $35 for the pedi, literally $25 cheaper than the other salons I visited and you still get all of the extras!!! This is a no brainer, I found a forever home for my nail care ❤️ 💛 💘
