**Hi, I wanted to follow up because this situation became much more stressful than it needed to be, and I want to explain why. What upset my wife — and me — wasn’t the policy itself. We understand the 24-hour cancellation rule. The issue was how the situation was handled after she contacted you. She realized the time was wrong and immediately called, left a voicemail, emailed, and texted within minutes of booking — she truly did everything she possibly could to correct the appointment right away. Instead of simply saying, “We understand — let’s find a new time that works for you,” she was told repeatedly that there would still be a fee. Then later, she was told that she had three days to reschedule or the fee would still be charged. That felt very confusing and unprofessional, especially for a first-time client who made an honest mistake and tried to fix it instantly. My wife hasn’t had her hair done in nearly three years, and she was really hoping to finally do something for herself for Christmas. It shouldn’t have escalated to the point where we felt stressed, upset, or uncomfortable coming to the salon. A simple reschedule and some understanding would have completely avoided all of this. She tried calling multiple times, and when she finally reached someone, the person she spoke with was kind — but by that point the back-and-forth messages had already caused a lot of frustration. We appreciate that the fee ended up being waived, but the communication leading up to that was upsetting for our family. We wanted to share this so you understand how the situation felt on our end, because this should have been an easy fix from the beginning.
