Gloss Nail Bar

I came in for a gel manicure and unfortunately left feeling disappointed. While the color I chose was beautiful, the application was rushed and messy. Several nails have uneven edges, polish flooding onto the skin, and visible imperfections. My cuticles were not cleaned up properly, and one area was even nicked to the point of bleeding. I politely pointed out issues during the service, but after a while it became exhausting to keep mentioning them. For the price of a professional manicure, I expected more attention to detail and a cleaner finish. The staff was friendly, but the quality of the work just wasn’t there. I won’t be returning, as I’d prefer a salon that takes the time to ensure a neat, polished result from start to finish. Also one of my nails developed an air bubble underneath it a few hours later, which I’ve never had happen before. Awful work.

Saw a good review for Henry so I decided to check this place out since it’s close to my house. Upon checking in they make you sign a waiver to pay for full service and that they can’t be held responsible for any legal issues (lol). I waited 10 min to be greeted by Henry and told him I’ll get the basic pedicure with gel polish. I’ve literally never had a worse pedicure. He literally didn’t even shape my toe nails and was done with cleaning and gel polish within 25min. The polish job is so bad and doesn’t even start at the base of the nail. Next up: gel polish on finger nails (they charge $30 just for this). Anyways he’s rushing so fast that he doesn’t want to do extra coats of funny bunny so he says I’m going to add a shiny top coat and I’m thinking it’s about to be clear polish. No he whips out chrome and starts adding it to all my fingers and of course he charged me $20 for this mess that looks like shit because he didn’t want to be thorough and actually saturate my nail bed with funny bunny. The entire service lasted 45 min. That’s how you know it’s a joke. I paid $55 for a gel pedicure that looks like shit and $50 literally for a regular gel polish no dip, no tips, no design, no manicure. I love paying for stuff that’s worth it, but this place is not!! Also they claimed they had no WiFi even though it says they have guest WiFi but wouldn’t give me the password so I could work on some charts. Won’t be back and won’t recommend. Will stick to X nails.

This was my first visit to Gloss Nail Bar in Lakeland, and I was immediately impressed. The facility is beautiful, spotless, and I was greeted with a warm welcome as soon as I walked in. I checked in for my mani/pedi appointment and was seated right away. Unlike many other salons where you end up waiting until the foot-soak water gets cold, a nail tech began working on me immediately. My nails and toenails came out perfect—exactly what I hoped for—and I was finished and out the door in just an hour! Highly recommend.

First time here and it was the best experience I ever had in my life! Tony and Richie was extremely friendly and excellent when it came to customer service! I would highly recommend if your looking for an outstanding experience!

Dan and Henry are amazing! Best service I’ve had at a nail salon, and both are very talented and kind.
