RaNew Salon & Spa

This review is overdue! I traveled to Newport from San Diego, CA for a black tie wedding taking place on a Sunday and had been calling around to salons to see if there was availability for hair and makeup. Unfortunately, most salons are not opened on Sundays and the one that I did find that was, was already fully booked for the day. Enter *RaNew* In my initial outreach I learned RaNew is not open on Sundays, but due to the high demand, Queen Jackie, so graciously offered helped me and another wedding guest look and feel our best. I had a hair style in mind (my heart was set on it) and was advised by my San Diego hair artist to send photos to Jackie in advance as I have long and very thick hair, so it likely would take longer than the appointment originally allowed. This proved to be a good move because Jackie confirmed that we would indeed need more time. When I arrived, I was immediately welcomed by Jackie. She took a Quick Look at my hair and got right to work. We had the most wonderful conversation and learned we had so much in common- after all, my hair was going to take awhile so it was nice to collaborate with someone super cool. Jackie did an incredible job on my hair and makeup, it was EXACTLY what I envisioned. And to top it off a huge storm was to roll in the next day, so it was very windy during the wedding and my hair did not move. I never left the dance floor and my makeup survived so much sweat. So many kudos to Jackie for her magic hands and art and thanks to RaNew for giving her the space to be her most creative self. I recommend Jackie and RaNew to anyone looking to feel and look amazing for a special occasion.

This review is long overdue, but I can't forget to give a shoutout to Galen! I saw Galen for waxing services and she always did a phenomenal job! She is so kind and welcoming, immediately puts you at ease, and is so fun to chat with. I highly recommend Galen for any waxing needs!

Just got my blowout done for a friends wedding here. Jackie did an INCREDIBLE job, the best blowout I’ve ever gotten! She was also very sweet and accommodating. Would recommend a hundred times over!

I want to gate keep Ranew’s waxing so bad but I won’t do tha to my girl Galen! Galen is incredible! She gives the best, most thorough waxes. All while chatting pop culture, funny stories, and life updates. Seriously, if you want a great wax with incredible customer service, go to Galen.

I absolutely love getting my lash lifts and tints done by Galen! 💕 She’s so sweet and easy to talk to, and my lashes always end up looking incredible. Her technique is so careful and gentle—I'm always comfortable, and nothing ever gets in my eyes. I highly recommend her if you want your natural lashes to look AMAZING while having a fun, relaxing time in the process!!
