Curl Up & Dye Hair Salon

Curl Up and Dye is a fabulous salon and Jill is an exceptionally skilled stylist - a true artist! I started going to Curl up and Dye based on recommendations when I first moved to the island and I could not be more pleased with this classy salon where everyone is professional and super nice. Jill really listens to her clients; she has been managing my color and providing great haircuts for my wavy hair for years. Jill is doing a wonderful job helping me now with my new phase to let myself go gray. She did a phenomenal job with toning my hair for a beautiful, blended color as my gray is growing in. She matched the color perfectly and topped it off with a gorgeous haircut. And on top of Jill’s skills as a stylist and her great personality, she also does so much to support the community. I highly recommend Jill and Curl Up and Dye and would give more than 5 stars if I could!

If i could leave a 20 star review, I WOULD. Jill literally saved my hair. I'm not exaggerating. When I first went to see Jill, my hair was falling out, fried, and all-together dead. Before seeing her, I tried every hair product across the board, expenses be damned. After my first appointment, she set me up with the Malibu hair-care line and showed me that my water was the real problem. I went from having an easily $500+ hair care routine that left my hair looking and feeling drab, thin, and motionless. Fast forward literally one month, I have a $120.00 hair care routine and its never felt healthier or happier. With my wedding fast approaching, I feel like Jill saved my life and wedding photos. Because of her, I can go into that day feeling and looking my best. Aside from her knowledge, she's so patient, kind, and compassionate. I admire her commitment to the community of Newport and would recommend her to anyone who needs a fresh hair start. The first picture with the plant in the background is me now, one month out from my wedding. The second picture is how I showed up on Jill's door step 8 months ago with my best attempt at styling it that I could attempt.

I went in for my appointment with Maya looking like a bag lady. My instructions: make me look 20 years younger and 20 lbs thinner. I think she accomplished my goals and gave me the best haircut I’ve ever had. Can’t recommend her enough. Great stylist with a great eye.

I loved this hair salon when I was living in Newport! Nay was always so good to me and I always loved how my hair turned out. She's amazing at cutting, styling, and coloring hair! She is also amazing at fixing bad haircuts. I came to Nay when I got botched by another salon and she fixed my haircut so well. I'm sure everyone is amazing at this hair salon, but Nay was my hair stylist and she always did fantastic work with me! The salon was also affordable on my college budget.
