Fancy Nails

I paid 60 for this set (45 for the fill) and walked out feeling really disappointed. I’ve had a few sets done here before with no issues, which is the only reason I gave them another chance, but this visit was really disheartening. The full set before this fill was done by a different tech who seemed to be in a rush. She sent me to rinse my hands with two nails shaped round while the rest were almond, and only corrected it after I pointed it out and I was met with attitude when I did. The application and nails were not good, and honestly, I should have gone back to have them fix it, but with the holidays I just didn’t have the time. For this fill, the tech asked me twice if I was sure I wanted to keep the almond shape because “it’s a lot of work,” even though that was the shape I already had. When I got home, it took me about 10 minutes to fix the shape myself. There are visible gaps where the gel should be, the application is uneven, and the overall result doesn’t look like something I should have just paid 60 for. I still tipped 15 (instead of my usual 20 for nail services), but I left feeling like I had wasted my money and my time. If you wear short, regular nails, you might be okay here. But if you care about shape, details, and clean gel application, this may not be the right fit. Unfortunately, I won’t be back.

I went in as a whim because I was dog sitting around the corner. I got an acrylic refill with gel polish. This place was great! They took me right away. They helped me pick a color based on the look I was going for. They made it so much better than in my head. I saw Hana. Highly recommend. My new nail salon!

I do not like leaving negative reviews, but I must warn others that are spending money on gel manicures. 3 weeks ago, I had a gel manicure with Van, and the polish peeled off in a full layer within 2 days. I went back and the lovely Michelle removed it and redid them. It last a good 3 weeks. I returned to get my old gel off and get them done again, and again had Van do a gel manicure. Folks, I’m more disappointed in my gel manicure now than I was the first time. The polish is clumpy, uneven, and it looks like my 10 year old could’ve done it. When she asked, do you like it? I said, no, it looks thick and clumpy. I wasn’t planning on sitting there for another hour to get them removed and redone. This will be the last time they get my $, that’s for sure. Waste of $40.

I have been going to Fancy Nails for a while now ( 2+ yrs.) I have never had a bad experience. All of the ladies work hard and even communicate with each other to complete designs and such..

They did a really good refill for me, I just didn’t like that it took 2 hours but overall it’s a nice place inside and kind staff
