Tame Your Mane

I went to Tame Your Mane on October 18, 2025, for a color correction and paid $338. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing and damaging. No test strip was performed before applying color, and the stylist used heavy foils throughout my hair without checking the earlier sections. My hair — including over two inches of healthy new growth — was overprocessed and damaged. When the stylist saw how damaged it was, she cut off several inches in an attempt to cover it up, leaving my hair uneven and only about three inches long. I had shown an inspiration photo and clearly explained my hair type (Irish curls that don’t curl on top), but my cut completely destroyed the shape and texture. My hair now feels like cotton candy — dry, brittle, and broken. When I contacted the salon afterward, they refused to refund the $338 and only offered a treatment, which would not fix the damage or replace the hair that was cut off. I have photos before and after the appointment, and the difference is shocking. I’m filing a complaint with the Pennsylvania State Board of Cosmetology and disputing the charge with my credit card company. I’m sharing this so others can be aware and take precautions before booking.

This was my 1st time here. Brought my 11 year old to get her hair braided. Her Hairdresser Alexa did an outstanding job! I was very impressed with everything about this salon. Everyone is extremely nice and prices are very reasonable. Top notch service. Will definitely be back. Thank you ladies for an awesome experience!

I went to Kayla at Tame Your Mane for eyelash extensions and Townsend brows, and WOW!! She understood the assignment! She took her time, made sure everything looked perfect, and the results were stunning. My lashes look full but natural, and my brows have never been this clean and shaped before. Kayla is super sweet, professional, and really knows her craft. I left feeling so pretty and confident. If you’re thinking about booking DEFINITELY DO IT. She’s my go-to girl! 💕✨

The stylist did a great job with my hair. BUT I paid $287 for my hair. Then, the next day the owner called me and told me they made a mistake on my bill and must charge me $164 more dollars. I thought this was incredibly unprofessional because a business of this status should not be calling their customers to haggle for more money, especially after the bill has been settled and the tip has been added. The stylist did a great job on my hair, so I’m very sad but I will not be returning after this experience.

I have been a regular at Tame Tour Mane for over 2 years. Sylvia has been one of the best stylists ever i’ve ever had. She does such a great job working with my super thick hair (seriously like 3 heads worth). She always does amazing color. Kathy has done my nails/waxing/facials and is also amazing. She is so talented and does a great job. Highly recommend both these ladies!!!
