Venus Day Spa

My sister is too nice to post so I am doing this for her. She wanted a ombré biolage color and cut, what she got was horrendous! The staff were so rude and horrible when she called to get it fixed after going home and crying. They were extremely upset when she asked to talk to the owners and sent nasty text messages about it, seems to me that the women working gate keep and unhappy customer interaction from the owners. This is not how a supposed higher end salon should operate. In the end she was refunded partially and found a salon who fixed the issues. Let me tell you other salons had a strong reaction that my sister was let to walk out of the salon with her hair like that.

they were very welcoming when I walked in, very comfortable atmosphere. Halene took me to her room, the room smelled nice and with the music very relaxing, I felt myself dozing off. She did my face, and messaged my head. When that was done I felt relaxed and looked younger, the fine lines looked as if they disappeared. Then she worked on my eyelashes, she lifted them and colored them. It’s been over two weeks and they still look great. I will go back there when I come back to PA. Thank you for making me feel good.

I went to get a few inches taken off my hair. It was a big moment as I haven’t had my hair cut in some time due to the previous girl cutting way too much off at a different place. This time I figured I would go to a higher end salon I should be good. The girl whos name starts with “H” cut it very uneven and curled it so I wouldn’t notice. I got home and styled it the next day and realized what happened. I was pretty upset but was assured they would correct the length to be even. I was upset from my previous experience as I knew in order to even it up I would have to have more length taken off. I saw Luke- he is simply amazing- corrected my hair and was so fun to be around. It looked so much better. He restored my faith back in Venus. I then booked a facial- it was nothing special. The tech applied such minimal pressure I did not feel I got my moneys worth. I didn’t complain at all but just didn’t feel it was anywhere as good as the facials I’d received in the past and figured I just wouldn’t get that service in the future. I tried YET ANOTHER service which was a massage. I booked this at the time I was checking out from my facial. I was not told there would be any sort of fee due if I rescheduled my appointment or no showed. Unfortunately I was running 20 minutes late that night and was contacted by staff. I let them know I was about 5 minutes away and would be there and obviously very sorry. I was told I could not be seen due to how late I was. That was completely understandable and asked if I could reschedule. I was told I couldn’t reschedule and I owed $75 as the massage tech makes commission and now she is out her commission. I paid the $75 as I’m a good person and don’t want any negativity on my heart over it. I shouldn’t have as it isn’t my problem the staff did not collect that deposit at time of booking. I asked to speak to a manager because I was not comfortable paying money for a service I didn’t even receive and was told they weren’t in the salon that day. I explained that I trust only Luke to do my hair and don’t want to have to stop coming here based on this circumstance. I was told I would get a call from a manager the next day or earlier the next week at the latest. It’s been 2 weeks now and I’ve heard nothing. I rarely write negative reviews but I paid good money for all the services I got and tipped even better. Venus has lost me as a customer all due to not getting a call back as we could have worked something out potentially. I am a very patient person but it was evident all they care about is the $ and not service or customer satisfaction!

Had my first spray tan the other day. I was nervous because I didn't quite know what to expect, but my technician was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me very well. I've had my hair done there in the past as well. A very lovely location and the services are reasonably priced.

Abby did a Brazilian for me today - very disappointing. She missed SO much hair and left wax on me. The entire purpose of getting waxed is to not have to shave all those hard to reach spots and that's where she missed!!! Anywhere that would be hard to get with a razor she didn't even touch with wax... I'm going to have to shave now anyway after her doing such a bad job, what a waste of $80... I will not be coming here again. Do NOT recommend.
