Adore Nails and Spa

I came here because my normal nail tech was unavailable for this month. I came in with builder gel on my nails and asked for removal and a gel manicure (specified just gel polish, not builder gel). The tech for some reason assumed I wanted gel x and started prepping my nails for that, taking off most of my length without checking in on how much I wanted cut off first. He also cut my skin in several places due to very rough and uncontrolled drilling and he did not stop the service, clean the cuts, or have me wash my hands. When I specified again that I wanted just gel polish he gave me builder gel without checking and charged me for the builder. He filed my nails down way into the nail bed which will likely cause me to get ingrown nails, once again with no communication or checking what I wanted. The length of my nails is uneven, I paid significantly more than expected because he upgraded the service without asking, and I now have to take precautions to avoid infection and ingrown nails. The art was very pretty but I will not be returning.

I absolutely love this salon! I have been to many throughout Portland and Adore is the only place that does such an outstanding job. I get my nails done there regularly and I get my pedicures there as well. They are affordable and the space is absolutely beautiful. I highly, highly recommend!

love love love this place! I usually pop in mid afternoon, sometimes on a Tuesday like today and sometimes on a friday. they always are welcoming and get me right in. I love the color selection. I have had my nails done by a different person each time and they are all super. I do see the same faces tho so there is consistency too. cherry on top - the adorable pup. super affordable, comfortable vibe and i am always offered a drink. this is my go to place.

I’m from out of town and getting married in Portland this weekend — I waited to get my nails done here, and I’m so glad I did! I found this salon on Yelp and took a risk… and wow, Tami did an absolutely magnificent job. I’m in love with my almond-shaped French tips and matching French pedicure. She nailed the shape, detail, and overall vibe. Over-the-top happy with the results, exactly what I was hoping for (and more!) right before my big day. So grateful I found this spot!

I asked for square nails and they came out slanted very sloppy work for a service I paid for. On top of that, the payment process was unprofessional and disrespectful. The man didn’t swipe my card properly, then asked me “how much do you have on it?” which is completely unacceptable to ask a customer. I told him I had plenty on the card, and when it went through (only after he flipped it the correct way), the woman laughed when I said I have plenty on my card. He then tried to excuse himself by saying he thought it was a gift card. This experience was embarrassing, offensive, and felt racially biased. As a Black woman, I should not have to defend whether I can pay for my service and to be laughed at afterward was degrading. This kind of treatment makes customers feel unwelcome and disrespected. I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this salon to anyone who expects professionalism, quality, or basic respect.
