New Nails

I have been here once about a week ago & everything was great! My nails are great & still on! Will be going back for a refill & color. Very friendly & nice!

I highly recommend this business. They take walk ins. They were professional and very kind. Attached is a photo of my French manicure ($55) which was done well. I would recommend calling ahead if possible because they do get busy! No, the building isn’t new, but it’s in a great location for town. Their stuff isn’t the “latest” but it’s works perfect still! This place gets your nails done nicely and you feel good and it’s comfortable to be here. If they tell you there’s a wait- IT’S WORTH IT!!

Not being from the area and just visiting my husband who is working near Pauls Valley I searched nail salons online. Finding that this one was the nearest one in the area that was open this specific Saturday 08/11/18 I decided to try it out. 1st off it says they open on 10:30am however when I arrived about 10:45am they had not open yet. When I came back I was helped immediately and from what I gathered the male helping me was the owner, his wife was helping another lady and his daughter was doing pedicures. I request the gel nails and was getting a new set since I had taken mine off months before to allow them to strengthen. The color I chose was a golden color on top of a black undertone, I usually get the coffin shape however since I was doing them shorter this time I asked for a semi coffin like my lady in Dallas does which is not as narrow. 1st the shape of every nail was uneven, poorly shaped and just plain awful however I am not the type to complain so I just hoped the color would take away from how bad they looked. I washed my hand and his wife started painting my nails, they were painted black 1st then the golden color was placed over it which looked A LOT darker then the example nail, the girl sitting next to me even stated how much darker it was. I finally told the lady that painted my nails that it was much darker than I expected and she just agreed and told me how much it would be. I clearly was unhappy so she said I can repaint for you but it will be another $10, okay so I have to paint for something that was not as shown. I said I guess I will paint it because they look awful, she was obviously annoyed and sat back down rubbing the paint off my nails, it was black so it was stuck to my cuticles where she began to clip my cuticles, grabbing my hands roughly and caused several fingers to bleed. Again I just sat there with my fingers burning as she tortured me basically without saying a word. She finished, I paid still being the polite person I am and thanking her for taking the time to repaint my nails. However afterwards I was extremely bothered and upset by how I was treated, how my nails turned out that I paid my hard earn money for. BEWARE my experience was not a pleasant one.

As I am new in town stopped by her shop to ask about services. She looked at my nails and quoted me $30 for a set of acrylic powder dipped French nails. Thought price was reasonable and called her for an appointment the next day. By the time I got out of there the following day the price had climbed to $60 for the French nails I was quoted $30 the day before! None of my nails were done correctly on my right hand as well. In the DFW area was getting the same thing beautifully done for $45. Still looking for a good nail salon!

All I will say is that she did a great job on my acrylic overlay. But what I didn't respect is her trying to get money out of me but I didn't say anything because she played herself. She said over the phone $30 for just regular acrylic overlay. She didn't know it was me over the phone and when she saw me she said "do you want gel for $10 more" I said sure. Then she said you know what it's not the gel that's $40 it's the regular acrylic powder that $40 and I recommend you use that instead. So more money for the less expensive product. So basically a $30 service and she gave herself a $10 tip plus the so called $3 fee she added for using rap pay. But why I said she played herself is because had she done the $40 service with the gel overlay I STILL would have given her a tip so she would've gotten $53 instead of $43 but when I peeped her game I wasn't tippin a damn thing. Stop trying to get over on people. Be honest and loyal to your customers. Next time I will be looking for a black owned
