California Nails

Last weekend I came to this nail salon for a full set and gel pedi. During my appt I noticed she only used one huge bead of acrylic per nail didn’t think anything of it. Thought it was pretty cool. But , My nail broke in less than a week. I called they said no problem I will fix it for you. I went there today just now and they made me wait 40 mins just for one nail to be fixed … the owner is super rude and took other clients before me even tho I signed in and came in first . So I left. I spent over 180 dollars for simple nails of course with a good tip. This place used to be a top tier place in Lorain. I have no apex on my medium long nails and I’m pretty sure more will break. I will not be returning. However, the pedicure was great and the lady who did them was very good n very kind.

The only reason I am issuing 2 stars is because at one time, this nail salon did really great work and provided great service. I was consistently going to this salon for over a year, and I personally have experienced 3 nail techs that consistently did the dipping powder in a way that lasted past a week-a young lady named Tram, Kim, and Vicky. 2 out of these 3 women have left the salon. This place seems to have a fast turnover, and seems to have gone downhill. In my last two visits, the dip chipped off in less than a week. Very disappointing, and when I tried to explain this to the owner, he rudely walked away and did not even acknowledge the problem. Very rude and disrespectful. I had an appointment that I had been waiting for over 20 minutes for. I decided to leave. I took my business to another salon, and as of now do not plan to return to California Nails.

This is my second time getting my nails done by Lisa and she's AMAZING! This time I asked to color match my car and she delivered! I've never had any nails fall off or break and they always turn out exactly how I want if not better. 10/10 would recommend. Thank you again Lisa!

The employee doing my sisters set was incredibly disrespectful and was laughing at us the whole time, she asked for a sage/dark green and got neon green and didn't get a clear nail like she wanted. The nail tech was really tough and didn't let the polish coats dry in-between. Nail glue was left on her skin too. He had her pay before her nails were even done because they were doing so bad, don’t recommend this place for manis…at all.

They messed my nails up, ripped 3 of my nails half way off and the rest of them are super thin and super sensitive. I went there to get a full set, I’ve never had any problems before until I went here. I explained to man who was doing my nails that my nails were burning and they didn’t feel right. He didn’t say anything and just sprayed alcohol on my fingers. I was having a chemical reaction. He continued to do my nails, I probably should’ve told him to stop but I didn’t because I thought the burning would eventually go away and he was almost done with my nails. They burned for a couple of days but eventually it went away. Now that my nails are coming off, they burn and I can see where he drilled super deep. I talked to the manager over the phone and she acted like I was dumb and didn’t know what I was talking about. I know I had a chemical burn, but what about where they drilled so deep that my real nails are falling off?
