Blue Ocean Spa & Nails & Microblading

Went to get nails for engagement party. Had to go in a pinch, I typically see a private nail artist, same for the past four years, been getting my nails done consistently for 15 years. My appointment was scheduled out for a week, so I need my nails done for a weekend trip/party. I got gel x, as I have been consistently getting for a year and a half now. Not only was there no prep done, the nails were simply dehydrated and the glue applied. I chose a simple nude shade. All I wanted was an easy fool proof set. After the nails were cured, the e-file was quickly used once per nail. No shaping, no buffing, nothing. As the tech was removing my previous gel x set, the e file burned to the point I had to say something twice, and I have a very high pain tolerance. It’s very rare for me to speak up about discomfort during any appointment, but I had to. My tech painted every single nail except one chunky, clumpy, and unevenly. Some of the nails are larger in size than others, several applied crooked. They looked absolutely terrible. All I could do was go to the bathroom and laugh. I have my appointment with my tech coming up, so I wouldn’t have even written a review at all, except for the fact that these nails are lifting and coming off completely after just three days. The tech was very sweet and nice to talk to, and the salon looked very professional and cute. Not a big deal all around, but a huge waste of money and disappointing. Please just consider before booking. My friend got a dip set with tips, all chipped immediately and the shape was very poor and lumpy. Every one of her nails are off now. I have been told by at least ten people how terrible my nails look 😩😆

10/10 waxing service. Very thorough and she took her time getting the wax off so my skin wasn't irritated on the ride home. Will be back. Thank you! To others, worth the extra $2-$3 dollars. I've been everywhere for waxing and people dont take the time that the woman here does. Never feeling nasty or disappointed when I leave. Big fan!

Atmosphere was great and everyone was nice. However I wasn’t satisfied with my service so much so I left without getting any color placed on my nails. I was cut by the filling drill and no clean up was done to ensure bacteria wouldn’t get into my cut. Nails were done yesterday by a newer lady she was friendly but needs a little more practice from what I experienced. I paid $40 for a fill and one nail repair yesterday and today one nail has already come completely off!

I visited this salon about three weeks ago. When I walked in, I was asked if I had an appointment, and when I said no, the technician who ended up doing my nails seemed disappointed. I even offered to make an appointment and come back, but he said he would go ahead and do them. Unfortunately, the experience was not pleasant. He was very rough throughout the process, tugging on my arms and hands, and did not seem friendly or welcoming. When it came time to choose a color, rather than offering the color book, I was told to look at the powders on the wall. I had to specifically ask for the book, and he seemed disappointed that I even asked. Overall, his demeanor felt impatient, and when I thanked him at the end, he did not respond. On the positive side, the gentleman who did my pedicure was excellent—very professional, friendly, and polite. He made the experience enjoyable and showed great customer service. While I do plan to return to the salon, I will not be requesting the same technician for my nails. A little more kindness and gentleness would have made a big difference.
