New Style Nails

Awesome experience. It was my birthday and my boyfriend was proposing to me that day and I really wanted my nails to come out beautiful. I showed them 2 pictures and asked them to combine both designs to make a custom design for me. I was such a Karen making them crazy for it to look exactly like the picture but they were so patient with me and made sure I left happy. I felt so bad taking up so much of their time but they made me feel comfortable and it came out absolutely beautiful. Jessie was amazing. When copying from a picture sometimes it is hard to figure out what method they used to get that effect. Jessie tried multiple ways to achieve the look I wanted until it was perfect. I am so impressed and had a very pleasant experience. Thank you Jessie and the whole team at New Style Nails!

I had a great experience getting a gel manicure here, Jenny did an incredible job hand painting the sunflowers I requested. She did really beautiful work and her attention to detail was excellent. My nails still look great almost 3 weeks later but I’m definitely looking forward to my next visit!

I came here for a new set before getting married. I used to get my nails done all the time, but it had been awhile since then, probably about 5 years ago in NYC. I knew what I wanted was complicated, when I showed a reference pic the nail tech felt confident she could do it. Not once did she say it was too complicated. I was not expecting it to look exactly like the photo because that would be unrealistic. But she started the ombre off with a pinkish color using a sponge which created a hard line rather than a soft ombre blend. I tried to explain this is not what I wanted, but she did not understand. So, I gave up and just wanted to do a solid color. At this point, the nail tech was visibly aggravated and I felt terrible. She was sighing, rolling her eyes, etc. I wanted a dark burgundy color, she put dark purples and pinks on and they weren't quite right. Since these were to be my bridal nails, I felt I shouldn't get what did not feel right to me. Since they did not have the right color, she brought out a metallic chrome red and I went ahead with that. It looked terrible as bridal nails and I was pretty upset, but left with them because I just wanted out. I paid extra for the chrome while also feeling bullied to pay nearly $100 and a generous tip. I had to get them redone elsewhere because they looked like halloween press on nails. For a basic set with solid color, they are fine. Though I certainly will not return. This is not the place to get artistic/creative work done. Go to Angel Nails in New Paltz, they saved me and are so friendly! Photos show the reference image of what I wanted (ombre without the embellishments) vs what I got. I am so glad I don't have to see these nails in my wedding photos.

I am usually very happy with the service here, but sometimes some of the nail techs rush. Today I had ANC removed and reapplied within 25 minutes which felt super quick. The top coat is already coming off just 6 hours later, which is pretty annoying. The shape of the nails are also not very consistent.

Stopped in for a manicure, nothing fancy. No appointment and they took me right away. The manicure is good but it felt rushed. Quick hand massage and shoulder massage after but it was VERY quick and done like she was in a rush.
