Young Nail Cafe

This has always been my go-to nail spot. They do a great job, have such friendly owners/staff and have a clean salon. A few weeks ago after all this rain, I brought my baby with me just to get out of the house. Mr. James rocked him the entire appointment, gave him his toy, cleaned his paci off when he threw it. I was so touched. I really felt like I had "the village" everyone talks about. Young salon now has a fan for life. They are the best!

Sadly, I can't recommend coming here. I usually go to a place in Westfield, but wanted to try somewhere new and closer. The owner is such a nice lady, the shop is cute and clean, and they took us right away, but those were the only upsides. The paint from my daughter's nails started falling off the same day - not chipping, the whole sheet of layers came off 2 nails, within 3-4 days all of her nails were bare. I got a fill and needed a few tips replaced... James used some type of tool with a blade that was not only painful, but sliced most of my natural nails in half so he had to cut all of them down to start over. They ended up being bumpy, crooked, uneven, too thick, and you can see air bubbles in every nails; I got a classic french but he forgot (?) the base layer and said "no it's ok". The entire hour I was there, he seemed annoyed with me, despite not saying a word and attempting to trust the process. I went out of town the next day and wasn't able to go back to have someone else try to fix his mess, and ended up having to spend almost 100$ to have them redone. Also there was a drunk woman just hanging out in the shop making people (including the owner) veey uncomfortable that had to be kicked out. Should I have complained and refused to pay? Absolutely, but we just wanted to leave.

JuSt moved to the area, finally had a day off and so I came here for the first time. I am so upset, my flight leaves tomorrow at 6 am and the pictures attached are what I’ll be traveling with. No one ever provided pricing and the new full set ended being $110 plus $32 for the pedicure… this was TWO DAYS AGO! Quality 3 digit price tag nails should not break in 36 hours!!!!! I got robbed in pure daylight and they didn’t even need aggression. Avoid avoid avoid

I have to say, I don't know why I stopped coming here. (Actually, I do, I stopped getting them done altogether.) Recently I decided to get my nails done again and tried a location in walking distance. I was VERY disappointed. Tonight I went back to Young to have them redo a set that was done somewhere else less than a week ago. Not only did Sarah do an amazing job executing exactly what I wanted, she did it with a smile. The price was right and the atmosphere was so welcoming (including the other patrons!) I definitely won't make the mistake of going somewhere else ever again.

A clean and well managed business. The team does a great job on pedicures and manicures! I recommend appointments because they get crowded. Not a very chatty line of workers, which is GREAT, and they staff know their customers by name. About $10 more than what I normally pay, but I like this spot and hope that the positive energy and attention to detail and service continue.
