Blink Nails

As an owner of this nail salon, I would do an inquiry of all your nail techs and the prices they charge people for services that are priced differently on your website. It’s fraudulent to be charged higher than what it says on your website. Unfortunately, I had the displeasure of getting my nails done by Panda today who refused to acknowledge that she filed my nail down too much on one side but also showed frustration when my fingers did not bend to the angle that she needed them to go in order to shape them (that’s a first for me). Plus I had my arms positioned over a sponge or the UV LED light the entire time. Never has that happened either. Regardless the real issue came down to paying. I came in for a gel fill in. Usually that would be 55-70 depending on the place, shape and design. So imagine my surprise that she’s charging me $95 for a gel fill in which she later corrected to $90. I’m pretty sure she was making numbers in her head to get the most out of the service. I looked on their website, for an UV Gel fill in with gel color it’s $55 and for an ombré fill in it’s suppose to be $40-$65. There is nothing on the website that says an additional charge for “cutting down the nail” or doing an ombré color. All she did was file the nail down to a different shape, square to almond. My nails were long enough that all that was needed, was for her to file it down to a different shape. Something a lot of other salons do without any extra charge. This one as well. I’ve been here multiple times and never been charge for it. Plus I really didn’t understand why the ombré color was spray painted on vs using a sponge and bloating it on. That’s usually the process of doing ombré, to my knowledge. The guy at the front desk tried to help by deducting $10 from the total which then he would have to pay her. I find that very appalling that someone else would have to pay for something that was her mistake. Today’s service was ridiculous and a total rip off yet I paid the full amount because I did not want to cause a disturbance. Pictures included of what I wanted vs what I got. I was in the area and got a gel-x set done for my birthday and I am in LOVE! Rachel did a phenomenal job with the Inspo pic (and I love the alterations she made to the original design). David was at the front desk and is a superstar with keeping the salon organized and clients happy. (Nails in this photo are ≈1.5 weeks old; last photo is from the day-of)

The salon I normally go to was busy and I desperately wanted my nails to get done, Blink is right down the road from me so I thought let’s give it a try and now I’ve found my new go-to spot! (Sorry my photos aren’t the best lol) Danny was the absolute best. Very kind, funny, easy to talk to, attentive, made sure removing old builder gel wasn’t hurting, that the length and shape were good, etc. I did walk in toward the EOD but he didn’t rush at all. I never do French, so I was a little hesitant to do it somewhere I’ve never gotten my nails done at before but im so happy I did! Can’t remember the last time I walked out of a salon this happy about my manicure. See you next appointment, Danny!

Heard about this place on tik tok, and after reading some of the reviews, I was a little scared to come in. But I decided to give it a try, and I’m so glad I did. Only had to wait a few minutes before I was sitting in Ken’s chair and he gave me exactly what I wanted: a beautiful set of gel x nails. Even the girl at the front desk said they were pretty. I’m so happy with how they came out. Will definitely come back again to see Ken :)

I went to Blink Nails for a refill set and asked for the same almond shape, just shorter and with a different color. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst nail experiences I’ve had. First, the technician cut my cuticle so badly that it was bleeding, but I didn’t say anything because it was already obvious. Throughout the appointment, I kept pointing out that the nails were different shapes and lengths, but the corrections didn’t really help. In the end, every nail came out looking different from the others, which was very disappointing. When I spoke with the owner, he looked at my nails but said they were too busy to fix them. He offered a small discount and told me I could come back next time and pay $35 to have them fixed. Honestly, I don’t understand why I should pay for something I didn’t like in the first place. I left feeling like I wasted my money. On top of that, I noticed signs of possible nail fungus after my first visit, which made me even more uncomfortable returning. This was my second time there—while the first technician was great and worked quickly, the second one was very slow and the results were awful. Overall, I will not be going back.
