Prestige Salon

I purposely have not put any color in my hair for nearly 5 years. I went in on Nov. 1st to get a color done. The website says the price is $99 for a double process and color. I showed the stylist what I wanted done and she kept insisting I still had color in my hair, I’m assuming so they could charge extra, even had another stylist come look at it. Total waste of time. So she did the purple, not even the color purple I asked for, and put it wayyyyy too low. I was trusting the process since I have never had my hair professionally colored. They don’t mix any color in front of me so I have no clue what brand they use. My hair feels like straw and I have only washed it 3 times since getting it colored. I have purple stained towels and bed sheets because the color keeps coming out. All the black has washed out and I’m back to my natural color there. Below is what I asked for vs what I got. I didn’t get the stylist I requested in the website because she left early but they didn’t bother to call to ask if I wanted to reschedule or see someone else. I paid $212 for this and I’m not sure why I was charged so much considering I didn’t ask for it to be styled and only got one permanent color. Just ridiculous. I wasn’t upset about the price until I started staining my bedsheets and all the other color has since washed out and the “purple” has faded dramatically.

I had a horrific experience here at the Prestige Salon in Poplar Bluff this afternoon. They receive zero stars in my book. I would not recommend this place to anyone in the area! I didn’t receive the color at all like the pictures I brought in for the stylist. To top it off they overcharged me for additional solution needed! You’ll understand how ridiculous that is when you see the length of my hair. This place was not only unprofessional and overpriced but it also came with extra facetious behaviors from the stylists. The owner of the salon was rude, unethical, and I wouldn’t recommend this salon at all. If you are reading about this one, I’d give it a pass and go somewhere else. This place is a vibrant dud! What I walked out with versus what I asked for below for you to see as well. So heartbreaking the experience I had today. P.S. After the response by the owner, I’d like to just make sure individuals can see I in no way got a discount for any services provided! You can also see clearly I gave no tip for what was done as well. I was charged $142 for horrible color.

I had a awesome experience. Was in town for wedding. Needed my hair done. Booked appointment. Kurtis did my hair exceeded any of my expectations. Kind people, beautiful atmosphere and price was great. Wished I lived closer. He would be my new stylist 😀

Professional salon and lovely atmosphere. Slightly fancy, but without spending your kids college fund. Tammy has serious skills. She did a great job with my thin hair and I left smiling. Bonus that she is kind and funny.

Made an appointment with Lynette. She got me right in as soon as I walked in the door. She did a wonderful job on my hair and eyebrows.
