Star Nails

I love going to star nails. Tony and his wife are such great nail technicians. My sister and I always call and get pedicures. Most of the pedicures last for a good solid month. I would send anyone to star nails!

Who in the world gave this place so many stars?! I paid for the 37 pkg thinking it would last about 20 minutes. This was second to top of the line packages. I am accustomed to a good scrub, clean up of cuticles and some lovely smelly lotion and a nice massage. This was THE worst pedi I have ever endured. It's just a mom and pop working this place. Equipment is okay. Remotes are not. I do not feel confident that tools are sterile. I do not smell any alcohol or cleanser in the air. They do not open packages. Just grab tools out of basket. I feel very unhappy with this job while still sitting in the chair. He left my nails cut crooked and I had to ask him to push back my cuticles. He said but I already filed. Yes, I see but crooked, not squared and nicely shaped. but I kept that to myself. Ugh. I do not like to be so picky but this is so messy and I could've done this at home myself. I am going to ask the wife to straighten since he does the leg work while she just polished. Well, as soon as she came to my feet she sprayed with drying spray. I pointed to my cuticle and see said they're done. I said but look at my toe and she said that's your skin. I said yeah, but why didn't he trim it? So she trimmed it acting like it was going to hurt. Lady, it does not hurt if you do this right. This is ridiculous. I hate this place. People lied about ratings unless some people just have very low standards. I should've known that's why their prices were very low. Won't do this again. Save yourself your money and time.

This is my new go-to dip manicure place. I have had both Tony and Cindy, owners, do my nails. They lasted almost 4 weeks both times. Previously, I'd have at least one come loose before 3 weeks! Had pedicure today also and it was great!

The first time I came here I had a wonderful experience and I loved my nails. I always get almond shape acrylics. About 2 years ago when I got almond acrylics they were really nice and they continued to look nice for a month before I took them off myself. I was surprised they lasted so long considering how 4 times a week I worked 5 hours vigoursly washing dishes and cleaning at my job and used my hands a lot throughout the week to finish school projects. Now 2 years later I come back to get the same thing but with a different color pattern and a week after having them my thumb nail snaps off while I was putting on a sweatshirt. I'm very upset bc I paid $50 ($45 + tip) to get these hoping they would last for at least 3 weeks and they didn't even last 1. I'm not even a 1/4 as active as I was when I got my first set. I don't work anymore and since I have had these nails all I have done is school work which include writing notes and typing on my computer. I am very disappointed and I don't think I will come back if this is the quality I will receive when getting acrylics. Positive part of my experience is that the nail tech I got was nice and she gave me a nail design that I hadn't even thought of. I like the way she designed my nails I just wish they would've lasted longer.

I just moved to the area and visited Star nails today for the first time. Wonderful couple who own the salon. Great service, clean and kind. I highly recommend for a pedicure.
