Nail Creations Lounge and Spa: Beverly, MA Location

I absolutely love Julie at Nail Creations! I have been getting my nails done monthly for about 8 years (unnecessary I know lol) and am very loyal when I find a good nail tech! The one I had been going to for years closed earlier this year so I was looking for a new one. I tried Polished Day Spa in Gloucester and had an awful experience. Then I tried Colorful Nails in Beverly and that was worse! Started losing hope lol. But I have since had 2 gel x sets by Julie here and they have quite literally been the best sets I’ve ever had. I’ve never had nails hold up so well before and she is a total perfectionist, she takes her time and does them beautifully. Most recently I had a detailed design done and she killed it! Between the two sets I had one done by another tech and my experience with that one wasn’t good but they made sure to redo them and make it right!

I'm a Frugal person- so spending $80 on nails is SO NOT LIKE ME. But I got my nails done here for my wedding and now I can't stop. So far I've gone twice and worked with two different technicians and they both blew me away (and i'm super picky). I don't know what they're hiring process is but I'm pretty confident that you can book an appointment with any of their technicians and you'll leave happy. If you're going to spend your money and time to get your nails done the least you could do is the salon ecstatic with how it came out. I get Gel X

It genuinely pains me to write this as I’ve been going to this salon religiously for a few years. I went in today and had my nails done by KT. I showed her a design and made sure she was confident in it- which she was so we proceeded. By the end of the appointment I was bummed at how different it was and inconsistent as well as the length all wrong. I left and made sure to still tip well as I don’t like complaining or speaking up when something is wrong. I ended up calling back and was told to go back in if I’m unsatisfied. I showed two desk women and they agreed it was off. They gave me the option to have them soaked off and I could come back the next day to have Julie do them. In the process of having them soaked off- they were just drummeled and ripped off to the point of one nail bleeding and others still having pieces of Gel-X hanging off of them. One counter girl was shocked as KT threw the money at me and the counter. Clearly in disbelief as well that that was happening. The counter girl had reassured me that she would be speaking to the owners about this and how incredibly sorry she was. All of this in front of a full salon. I left in tears by the treatment and the full on embarrassment. I have been coming here for years. Always respectful. Always tip well. And recommend the salon to everyone. Let this be known- everyone else there has been amazing to me for years. But I was made to feel so uncomfortable- I won’t ever go back. It was my first time at Nail Creations and I decided to go because I heard so many good things about it! Mai did my nails and was super sweet and did a fantastic job. I showed her a picture and she did exactly what I wanted!! I will definitely be back 🤗🤗 Thank you Mai 🩷!

I really wanted to like this place as their prices are unbeatable! Other salons charge double for the same service, but now I think I know why. During my appointment, I was enjoying my service in the calm ambiance of the salon and nothing seemed to be going quite well. It was my first time getting a full set of Gel-X. My tech was taking a lot of time to ensure each nail was shaped to perfection and checked in with me often to ensure I approved of the color, shape, and length. I also opted to add a design, which the tech was kind enough to fix when it was not initially to my liking. She had a skilled hand and the second time around she painted the design perfectly! Later that night, when I was admiring my new nails at home, I noticed that my left hand did not have as much glue/gel in between my nail and the nail form. There is space between the top of my natural nail and the nail extension. This seems like it's going to be difficult to keep sanitary (ie after handling raw poultry, eggs, gardening) I also began to notice that the angle of some nails in the set are unnatural. That’s when I decided to reach out to a long distance friend who is a state licensed nail tech and educator. She told me that it looks like the application of my Gel-X needs some work. She also noted that my nails should not slope up the way that they do and there should not be a gap between my nail and the enhancement. Again, I really wanted to like this salon! Especially after discovering how polite the entire team is and how skilled of a painter my tech was. I’m surprised to learn how technically sub par my set is, because my nail tech seemed to be very detail oriented. The french tips and design of my nails are gorgeous and the shape is what I was aiming for, so at face value my nails are stunning. However, getting a look at the side or under side of my nails tells a different story. Time will tell how long they last…
