Phenix Salon Suites

I’ve been coming to Phoenix Salon Suites for the last five years and the restrooms are always filthy! No toilet paper, no soap, dirty floors, and toilets left un- flushed. The hallway carpet is stained and nasty. For a place offering high-end beauty services, the lack of basic cleanliness is unacceptable.

Shauntise, Suite 119- Best stylist ever! Been going to her for many years. She's fast, professional and a master of her craft!

Beware of some of the suites. I'm not saying that all of them are bad, but Urban Rootz is bad. Went there to get an hombre color and silk press. First of all, I booked online and came to find out that the site and her actual prices differed. But then she didn't get the color right. I asked for honey blonde but she gave me a auburn color and instead of doing hombre she took it upon herself to do my whole head and charge me for that without saying anything. Suite 106 is the worst place to get your braids done. The mom and owner of the shop braids slow, watches TV so hard that her braids are mediocre, and she talks on the phone loudly the other half of the time. It wouldn't bother me much, but her distractions keep her from braiding and make time take longer. My friend even called to come into her appointment early instead of 4:30. They said come at 2, yet she still didn't get started until 4. Not to mention, they often forget about appointments, and their prices don't match the quality of the braids. The daughter braids better but often gets distracted by her three unruly kids, who she allows to do whatever they want. She even let her youngest pick over someone else's food while they were trying to eat. If you want quality african braids, you'd be better off going to suite 159 (I think) Ms. Adja does way better, does not allow kids (unless they are the one's getting their hair done), and is much cheaper.

I booked an appointment for a sew in weave with Jazmin in suite #137. I got there about 5:15 and left after 9 pm. This was the worst experience ever something as simple as a sew in weave turned out to be a disaster. I should have known better when she had her IG page locked and I know most hairstylist has their page open for people to see their work. Well she should not be styling hair, I think the majority of her clients get braids or dreads. But anyways I did pay her $250 and hurried to get out so that I can go home and fix my own hair. I will need to find another stylist to fix the mess she put in my hair. I’m only posting this because if you’re not comfortable with hairstyling you should NOT be telling customers what you can do and you really cannot.
