KV Nails

Came here yesterday and was kinda thrown off and wanted to leave. They actually ran after us and practically pulled us back inside. They did my mom’s entire pedicure for 45 minutes to a hour while I sat there soaking.. the water got cold. We were very thrown off by the fact the pedicure tubs were not lined with plastic… felt very unsanitary. I left when my mom was done with her pedicure without getting a service. She has been very freaked out about the tools possibly not being clean (since they were in containers with used sponges) and feet soaking in possibly dirty tubs. Very different from the standards back in Arizona… will have to keep looking for a new nail salon.

My previous review was a five star one. My last couple of visit has not been so great. The nail polish does not cover my entire nail. On my last visit, I decided to experiment and do a green. It was not the olive green that I wanted, but I settled for it. They never have an issue drying my nails, but this time they did for some reason and kept putting on layer after layer. I got them done on Sunday, today is Wednesday and they keep peeling and breaking. I’m leaving town in the morning and do not have time to stop by to get it fixed. I’m super unhappy that I now have to spend my evening fixing my nails at home. Unfortunately, I will not be back . This last experience just did it for me. The lady working there seems to be the only one delivering quality service. I have no issues with her. I do love the pedicures I used to get here though.

I really wanted to like my nails because the staff was very nice but there is not one nice thing I have to say about my nails. And I leave for a trip tomorrow with no time to have them fix it. They are not the type, shape, or style I asked for. The nail beds are lumpy on some nails. The nails are too wide for my nailbeds, uneven points, and crooked. He also did not clean up my cuticles at all. He left all my hangnails. I asked for almond green ombre dip or gel nails. He pushed me to get gel polish instead of dip assuring me he could do ombre. He could not. I asked for a thin french tip as a compromise, i even stopped him and asked him to do them thinner but he thought I was saying I didn’t like the straight line that he planned to use the brush to make it a french tip. They are acrylic instead of gel like I wanted but I realized his mistake too late to stop him. The container was labeled “gel powder” but it was air dried. I was the last appointment of the night and I was late so I get why he did a rush job but just looking at my nails makes me sad.

I haven't had my nails done in years but I won a 3 day paid vacation so I wanted to get something nice. Ken did an amazing job! He heard what I wanted and gave me exactly that. Very patient with me picking out the right color and had a nice selection to choose from. The place is clean and well decorated. I'm so happy with my nails and will definitely be back when it's time to refill and repaint.

I absolutely love everyone that works here, I always feel welcome and am treated kindly. I haven't been disappointed with any of my mani's or pedi's. I've been doing the dip manicures and they can last me close to a month, which is awesome! I would not go anywhere else to get my nails done. ♡
