The Hair Lab

Very disappointed. I don't know the name of the stylist I saw. I made an appointment for a wash, cut and style online with any stylist at 5:00 on a friday. I get my hair cut about once a year and have been going here for 3 or 4 years. I explained to the stylist I wanted a lot of length cut off to just below my shoulders, some layers and angling around my face. She started cutting my hair dry so I thought she was going cut off the length and then wash it as other stylists have done this but she didn't she just kept cutting, adding face angling and what I think were layers. Im introverted and dont like conflict so I didnt say anything. I thought that i had booked the wrong appt type bc it was my first time booking the appt online. Then she asked if she could use a flat iron on my hair and I realized that she was "done" with the hair cut. She never asked me if i was happy with the length if she had I would of spoke up and said no. I explained that I wanted it much shorter. I wanted atleast another 2 inches cut off. She cut to the length I wanted and then angled around the face. She styled my hair and I cashed out. The price was lower then I expected. I thought it was supposed to be $50 but she only charged $30 so I left a higher tip to make up some of the difference. I told her I really liked it and it felt so much better but when I got home I realized there were are no layers in it. It's all one length. I suspected before I left that she didn't add the layers back in again after fixing the length but I didn't feel comfortable speaking up and thought maybe they were there. I've also found some long hairs that she missed. She said i could call her if that happened and she'd fix it but I don't want to go back. I confirmed on the app that I booked a wash cut and style for $50. Unfortunately, I'll have to go elsewhere to get it fixed as I don't feel comfortable going back. I know there are great stylists there as some have done my hair prior.

Beautiful salon, clean, spacious, organized. Katelyn is amazing! I do wish other stylists were a bit quieter or would clean up their language, not everyone wants to hear it. Overall, I highly recommend this beautiful full service salon.

My hair has never looked so good! Megan took special care of my hair when I wanted blond highlights. I used box color for years and I have been trying to transition out of using it she took the time to explain what that stuff does and how it effects future colors. She really knows her stuff! I appreciate everything she does. Amazing young woman! Amazing skills! I definitely recommend going here!

Was our first time in but will not be our last. Jess did a great job on both my hair and my son's, and was very kind towards my daughter. She allowed her to watch what she was doing, answered queations and was very patient. I'm happy to have found a new barber!

I had a wonderful experience at The Hair Lab today. The owner did an incredible job on my haircut. Great service! Fun, modern, comfy atmosphere. Online booking is super convenient. I definitely recommend this salon!
