I’m very disappointed. I am in town for college and needed a hair trim. I have beautiful long hair and I went in asking for a 1 inch trim with some face framing pieces. Left with face framing around my chin and shoulders with the rest of my hair reaching my lower back. It looks just unblended and I’m so sad!!!! I absolutely loved my hair before and am really struggling to tolerate this cut. I even went in to try and get it fixed and am still so unhappy. I figured my hair cut request would be easy and go smooth. I was totally wrong.

I would not recommend coming here to anyone. I hadn’t dyed my hair for 3 years and decided that I wanted a subtle change. She said she’d do a balayage because I wanted it to be very blended and low maintenance. As you can tell from the photos, this is anything but blended and subtle. I was not offered a mirror to check the back and I see why. I am extremely disappointed that I chose to go here.

This is the first time I have had a bad experience at KJ. My daughter who is 11 had a terrible experience. She has very curly hair. I made an appointment online for a kids haircut. In the past the stylists have always washed and cut her hair. I do not ask for them to blow dry or straighten. Today, the stylist did not want to wash her hair stating that she wouldn’t have time. I was early to the appointment. I did not wash her hair today, as I knew it would be washed again and didn’t want to dry it out. She started cutting her hair dry. It was not working. Her hair needs to be washed to detangle it. She say she would go see if someone else had time to wash it. She came back and ended up washing it herself and the cutting it. Her hair did not even have a part. It was just combed back like a helmet. It looked terrible. I could see my daughter was visibly embarrassed and upset. I was kind and polite. I paid for the haircut and a tip, but will never be back. It felt pointless to complain as she didn’t want to cut her hair from the first place. I wanted to get my daughter out of there as soon as possible. She did fix the length and evened it out. That part looked better, but the rest and the service was unprofessional. My daughter could hear her sighing the whole time. It made her feel like she had bad hair. She was crying by the time we got to the car. The stylist was unprofessional and maybe inexperienced, but she could have said that and I would have been grateful for the honesty and made a new appointment. She made my daughter feel sad. This was not ok. I didn’t complain in the salon as I knew my daughter was already upset and embarrassed, but I know the stylist could tell she did not do a good job. Edit- A manager did call and leave a message. I appreciate the apology and call. I wanted to be honest and add that the manager did leave a nice message. They did offer to have her come back in. My daughter will not come back due to being so embarrassed and for feeling really uncomfortable. She left crying and thinking she has terrible hair. I wanted to add that the stylist informed me she only had so much time per haircut. I asked her politely if I made a mistake and booked the wrong kind of appointment. She told me no. We were there early and left 30 minutes later. In the past, the other stylists washed and cut her hair in that time. I told her that it would need to be wet in order to brush it as her curls can’t be combed dry. She left for about 5 minutes saying she was going to see if someone else would wash it. I feel like if she would have washed it right away as normal, it would have been plenty of time. I would never want to be unkind to a person, but as a mom it took everything in me to stay kind, pay for the terrible haircut, and leave a tip because I am not the type of person to not pay.

I saw Amra for the first time and she did a wonderful job. She even got me in for a haircut that was more of a transformation haircut. She got my blonde color spot in and her timing was efficient. My favorite part is usually the scalp massage at the bowl and she did not disappoint. Highly recommend her!!!

This isn't a bot rating, I went here with long hair to my tailbone, old box dye and damaged strands. Jaleya was able to make me look absolutely amazing with my spooky time hair and blowout look. If you want a fun look and have the photos for inspo, she can make it happen
