After a long government shut down, I booked some much needed self care. Anna was so so sweet. She asked a lot of questions beforehand to guarantee all needs were met. She walked me through each step and even taught me how to curl my hair. I absolutely love the results. I havent felt this confident in awhile!

I always leave my appointment with an excellent set of nails that last me weeks!!! The color is even and the shape is always sharp and clean; it truly feels refreshing leaving with my nails done.

Maribel is absolutely amazing! She does incredible work and always takes the time to make sure you leave looking and feeling your best. Her professionalism and attention to detail really stand out, and she creates such a warm and welcoming atmosphere every time I visit. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a talented stylist who truly cares about her clients! The salon atmosphere is also 5 star!

I absolutely love how picky Maribel is—because “picky” means she truly pays attention to every detail! She’s so kind, confident, and never afraid to do exactly what you ask. So many stylists shy away from short hair (because once it’s gone, it’s gone!), but Maribel has such a skilled, steady touch and dives in feet first without hesitation. She listens, she understands, and she genuinely hears what you want. My hair has never looked better, and I’m so grateful I found her. I had an appointment with Valeria at Canvas. My haircut was supposed to be an inverted/A-line bob, and I showed a clear photo during the consultation. I booked with this stylist specifically because she is listed as a Level 4 Master Stylist, and I felt confident she would have the technical experience needed. I scheduled the appointment right before my birthday so I could feel polished and put together, but unfortunately the final result did not reflect the style I requested. I’m giving my experience a 3 because the shampoo was excellent and the stylist was kind. I was also patient and understanding throughout the entire appointment. However, the cut itself was not worth the $55 price, especially considering I was in the chair for 1 hour and 20 minutes for a haircut that is generally considered a standard technique for experienced stylists. From a technical standpoint, the cut wasn’t executed correctly from the beginning. An inverted/A-line bob requires first establishing the perimeter angle and then building graduation (stacking) to support that shape. Instead, the back was stacked like a traditional bob with no angle established at all. The angle didn’t begin until the front near my chin, which is not consistent with how this type of cut is structured. Additionally, my hair naturally lays differently on each side, which means each side should be cut with slightly different elevation and overdirection. Both sides were cut the same way, which made it impossible for them to match properly once the hair fell into place. After several attempts to correct the shape, the manager stepped in to assist. Unfortunately, by that time, the length had already been cut too short for a true inverted/A-line shape to be achieved. The result became a short, standard bob rather than the angled bob I had requested, and now I need to grow my hair out before the desired style can be recreated. This was particularly disappointing so close to my birthday. I completely understand that not every stylist is comfortable with every technique. However, if my hair length or texture wasn’t ideal for the style I wanted — or if the stylist wasn’t confident in performing this specific cut — I would have appreciated being informed before the cutting began. When a stylist is advertised as a Level 4 Master Stylist, I expect that level of transparency and technical assessment. I would have gladly booked with someone else had that been communicated upfront. Clear communication is an essential part of a positive salon experience.
