Lily did such a great job with my manicure! I came in with hard gel (Builder Gel)—unaware that The Nail Shoo is a natural nail salon. Typically, removing hard gel isn’t a service they offer, but Lily took an hour+ to do that for me! She took such care with my nails and I’m thrilled to be back to my natural nails again. Not only was the service amazing, the atmosphere of the salon is incredibly relaxing! No drills and loud TVs. Just serene vibes. I will most definitely be back!

I did manicure and I didn’t know that you had to remove hard gel before going in the appointment . I came and they told me that I had to go somewhere to get them removed. Then, I came back and one of the ladies did my nails. It was a bit frustrating. The lady who did my nails did a good job but unfortunately it didn’t last a week. The place was very nice and relaxing but I won’t be back because the quality of the gel. I just moved from Houston and I was looking for a new nails salon so sad that I didn’t work I loved the atmosphere.

With Nebraska's freezing weather, I booked an impromptu manicure to clean up my cuticles and moisturize my cold, dry hands. What I received was an experience unlike anything I’ve had in any nail salon—and I’ve lived all over the world. From the moment you walk in, you’re met with an intentional blend of wood, leather, metal, and brick. Clean lines create a sense of calm and serenity. Nail colors are displayed on a single elevated slab of wood, almost like artwork. Soft music plays in the background. There are no loud noises, no harsh lighting, no blaring TVs—just quiet, grounding stillness. The manicure tables and pedicure pedestals are bespoke pieces of wood and metal, and you can tell every detail in this place has been carefully curated. Being in an environment where everything feels thoughtfully considered makes it almost impossible not to relax. I was reminded how important it is to take time for myself. There are so few sanctuaries in this world that encourage that—The Nail Shop is one of them. My manicure was excellent. I got the “Old Market” Gel Manicure. Kin’s attention to detail, especially with my cuticles, was impeccable (I’m very picky because I work with my hands), and she took extra time with the massage. It was exactly what I needed. So grateful.

Unfortunately, I scheduled appointments with this salon on two different occasions, and this was my experience: During my first visit, I was assisted by Sat. She charged me for a gel removal service that was not actually performed. After completing the service, I noticed a very visible line across the middle of one of my nails. When I pointed it out, Sat responded, “Yes, that happens when you move your hand inside the machine.” I was surprised that she was aware of the issue yet chose not to inform me until I noticed it myself. At that point, since the service was already finished, I told her it would be fine, although it was too late to correct it. Regarding the gel removal charge: my original product was acrylic, not gel. Although the removal was not completed properly, I understood that they did not have the necessary tools for acrylic removal — they simply do not offer that service. When I questioned Sat about being charged for a service they could not provide, she disagreed with me and called the owner. Shortly after, the owner reached out to me directly via text. She handled the situation with professionalism, took full responsibility, and made sure I felt heard — 10/10 for her customer service. My second visit (today): Upon arrival, I was received by Lili. She did not greet me; instead, she immediately asked for my name, confirmed my scheduled service, and informed me, “I will only be able to do the gel; I don’t have time to do the French,” even though French tips were part of the service I had booked in advance. There was no apology, and her tone was defensive from the start. It was surprising and disappointing, especially considering that Sat — who had assisted me during my first visit — was nearby. It gave the impression that this may have been retaliatory. Lili’s demeanor throughout the service was discourteous and unfriendly, creating a very uncomfortable experience. The quality of the pedicure was subpar, and for the manicure, despite requesting multiple times that she not shorten my nails any further and to leave them at the desired length, she continued filing them down. She even suggested that I could stop the service if I was unhappy. My nails had arrived long and healthy; however, due to the prior poor service, they had started splitting in the middle, and unfortunately, I had no choice but to trim them. I truly hope the customer experience and professionalism improve for future clients.

I finally found ~my~ nail salon! This is the best manicure I've gotten 💓 The cuticle work, shaping, and paint is perfection. The shop is clean and very cozy!
