Kim Nails

This place is the only place I've gone to since high school. I came in today with only one person working. I thought maybe other people were on break but they weren't. I waited patiently for about 30 minutes, no problem, and when she sat done she asked what I wanted. My design was simple; coffin nails, french tip with pinkies being a different color, and dots to look like flowers and a reference picture. I asked for everything yellow to be purple. Super simple design. Long story short, she told me that everyone else was on vacation and she was by herself. She hurried through the process and was on the phone arguing with someone who works there, almost the entire time. She was upset, understandably, that she was by herself and I didn't want her to take her anger out on me as she was already by filing my nails super aggressively and fast to the point where it literally hurt so I didnt say anything. That was my fault. I have confrontational issues. Some of the glue is stuck to my skin. I told her multiple times what I wanted and did not get them. Uneven lines, no one is perfect but it's kinda ridiculous, messy dots and she did not do the color i wanted. She added yellow and when I told her I wanted purple, she went over the already dried yellow with the purple. Not even in the same spots as the yellow. The finishing coat was not smooth. You can see bristle lines. Multiple times where I was supposed to dry, she didn't let me finish the drying time. I am a bridesmaid in a wedding that is happening in 3 days and it does not match my dress at all. I already have anxiety going into the salon and this made it worse. Spent $100 with a tip. Which the only reason I tipped was because she was by herself and from afar they look okay. But up close, and honestly just the distance of writing this review, I am not pleased. I havent been here in a long while cause the last time I wasnt pleased. Took 4 different people to do my nails. Don't think I'll come back.

Had cat eye nails done on Saturday on my natural nails. Today is Tuesday and the polish already coming off on several nails. I knew the tech was in a hurry, and you could see the black underneath on several nails. I don’t like confrontations so I didn’t say anything. Definitely won’t go back.

Overpriced service for what I asked for. I asked for a manicure to avoid 2 nails from tearing off. I showed her my two specific concerns. She worked fast and based on vision of those two nails, I assumed she filed enough to avoid that concern. It wasn’t till the nail polish was coming off that I realized she did very little to correct that concern. I will NOT go back since my main voiced concern wasn’t even handled. The picture shows the horizontal white line where the nail is tearing. The size and location hasn’t changed from when I first went in and showed her specifically.

First time back in several years. Tommy took great care of me and did my nails perfectly. Best they have looked in a long while. He even did a color test to show me what the color looks like out of bottle. Extremely satisfied with my service.

I have gone to Kim nails for years. It's the last two times I had the new gentleman. Both times my nails have been lifted and separated or broken. I do acrylic on my natural nails, so which means my natural nail is now broken. The nails are uneven. The polish is uneven and I refuse to spend $80 And have them look like this. Sadly, I will be looking for somewhere new.
