Excellent Nails

My experience at this salon was EXCELLENT. I haven’t gotten my nails done in a very long time so I was a little unsure of what I wanted. My nail tech Thaw was so helpful in helping me decide and accommodated my need to keep them short. I ended up absolutely loving how they turned out! Thaw was extremely detail oriented and made it a great experience. They even gave out cute Christmas gifts upon leaving!

I went to Excellent Nails this evening and had an overwhelmingly positive experience. Sophia/Sofia was my nail stylist for my acrylic full set manicure. This was the most detail oriented and efficient manicure I’ve ever had and I’ve been getting my nails done for years. The salon itself was very clean! She matched the design perfectly and I love it!

My daughter got a gel manicure and nail art and absolutely LOVES them! The service was excellent and very timely. The ladies were super nice. Tina did her nails and was fantastic. My daughter is already planning her next appt! 😁

This place used to be great a few years ago. Tonight there were two older ladies working and I won’t go back again. Here’s why: 1. I showed her a picture of the nails I wanted and what I got was not that. I had to have her go back a few times to fix the white part and she still couldn’t get it right. It’s not like I verbally explained it. I had a picture! 2. I was charged for things I didn’t know I would be charged for. 3. I told her I wanted dip not acrylic, and she said OK I can do dip with gel polish over (because I wanted French manicure). Then she did acrylic. I get that these are basically the same thing, but I did not want to be charged to take off my dip nails for her to do acrylic. (reference point #2) acrylic does not last as long for me and I told her that… But I have a hard time being that person so I just let it go. A few times I had to point out that she wasn’t getting the acrylic all across the nail bed which will lend itself easily to lifting and breaking. 4. This place is really dirty. I didn’t see her use new clippers or even put them in the sanitizer. She literally just put everything back in the drawer she had pulled it out from (including files and buffers) and you will notice from my picture - she’s got an open bottle of cuticle oil with the brush just sitting in it. It’s probably fine but it kind of grosses me out thinking that this is used on customer after customer. 5. The nails you see here (last pic) cost me $80. I really don’t like paying that price for something I don’t love. 😒 these don’t look elegant like the picture I showed her - they look like my grandmother’s nails.

I came in on Friday (valentines day) for a fill. They did not have the right color acrylic so I had to do a whole new set. She put the liquid she used to remove the old acrylic back into the bottle. Then when doing the new set she caught my fingers with the grinder over 15 times! I really thought I was going to be leaving with my fingers bleeding but thankfully I didn't. The nails are uneven and they're thin in some spots but thick in other spots. She never even touched my cuticles. I also had glue all over my fingers. I will NEVER go to this salon ever again!
