Toi Spa Nail 136th

I did Builder Gel with a tip (for the first time)on Saturday, by Sunday 8 out of 10 were lifting around the cuticles. I couldn't make it that day to get them fixed. I called and they scheduled me for today, Wednesday. During the time difference, I researched how builder gel is applied/removed/refilled etc... Today's "fix" was treated like an acrylic fill. I expressed possibly starting over and the technician made it seem like that for sure wasnt going to happen nor necessary. I also mentioned I was concerned you would see the harsh line of the previous application, but he said no you can't... sadly I see it on a few. I'm not a confrontational person and both he and the receptionist were amicable, so I felt uncomfortable continuing to express my feelings and just accepted how they deemed was worthy of a fix. What really soured my experience was his comment at the end....he nonchalantly said the issue was MY nails and how flat/lifted they naturally are, which is what caused the lifting on the cuticle areas. Something I felt was not only incorrect because it had been less than 48 hours that I noticed the lifting (on so many) but also unprofessional. I liked the look of my nails before and accept that they look fine now but I will never have my nails done here again, especially for $85. I wouldn't risk being disappointed again.

I wanted to share my experience as a returning customer. This was my second visit—I decided to give them another try since they offer the services I was looking for and are conveniently located. At first, everything seemed fine. The lady helping me was nice, and I asked for gel. However, she pushed me into getting gel on top of builder nails (which costs extra) without clearly explaining that there would be additional charges. During the pedicure—which should normally feel relaxing—it felt rushed. I later realized it was because she had another appointment scheduled. If she didn’t have enough time for my pedicure, someone else should have stepped in instead of rushing through it. My total bill ended up being $180 for hands and feet, with several extra charges that were never discussed upfront. When I brought this up with management, they called me back to say they reviewed the video and confirmed the timing was correct. Still, the service itself felt rushed. Their solution was to offer me $5 off my next visit—after I had just spent $180 plus a tip. To make matters worse, just a week later one of my nails broke in half—even though I had a Russian manicure with builder polish and gel, which should last much longer. Unfortunately, I do not recommend this place.

I always go to Kimchi for my dip mani and basic pedi, she’s very thorough and I love that the dip is not too thick, she makes it look very natural. I love the interiors, they were done very tastefully with neutral contemporary design that’s inviting and relaxing, and it’s always SUPER clean. Highly recommend!

My go to favorite nail place . We love Ms Fanny she's amazing, gentle and a sweet lady here and love the way she takes care my nails. The receptionist are always super friendly and bubbly. It's always impeccably clean. I highly recommend this wonderful place.
