Polish Day Spa

I really wanted to like this place, new to the area and haven't found a place I like. I got put with the owner, all I wanted was a gel manicure it's all I've ever knowingly gotten. She said I had an extra layer on my nails and I didn't know what she meant but apparently another manicure place had put on a gel hardener layer? I didn't know I've never asked for it. So she up charged me for taking it off.. then I asked for a very simple design with glitter and she said my nails were too small and it would look bad (all I was asking for was some gold glitter on the bottom of my nail by my cuticles).. so I said okay nevermind. Then I tried describing the shape I wanted and at this point anytime I asked for something she started talking in Chinese to a girl all the way across the salon and using English words here and there about exactly what we had just talked about. Talk about being uncomfortable. She cut my cuticles until I bled on two fingers. My nails aren't even fully painted. At the end I asked if she could put the matte layer on since she didn't want to do the design and she said I'm charging you 5follars for matte.. which is a layer of clear paint that's it. The pedicure was okay. She insisted I cut my nails and I said sure just a little bit and they are way too short. I don't ever get fancy nails and this is exactly why. She acted like it was such an inconvenience Everytime I asked for something which is really unfortunate because everyone else there was so sweet and the nails that I saw walk out were all beautiful and technical. I ended up getting charged 52dollars for a gel manicure that looks like I got it done a week ago. Theyre uneven, every nail is shaped differently, some are square some are round, my thumb is bloody.

I’ve been on the hunt for a good spa in the area and I’m thrilled to say, I’ve found it!! This is a beautiful spa, that is very clean. The staff was friendly and very good at what they do. I have small toe nails, and they even fit little flowers on them! They have a large selections of polish colors. I only got a pedicure this time, but I will be going back soon to get my nails done. The prices were very reasonable for the services!

Nothing good about this experience! The woman who did my pedicure was inexperienced. She rushed, didn’t shape my toenails, didn’t touch my overgrown cuticles, the polish is smudged and uneven (I sat still under the light the whole time after) and she didn’t remove my calluses. She barely touched my feet! We are never coming back here, too many better nail spas in the area. Staff was not friendly. When I called to let them know, they LIED and said I had only requested the basic package (we paid for the deluxe!) which does NOT excuse the sloppy, careless job that was done.

I feel like I found a hidden gem, Jackie gave me a delux pedicure and it was sooooo relaxing. Jackie is the best, she is friendly and does a FANTASTIC job!!
