I’ve been torn about writing this review, but I feel it’s important to share my experience. It was my first time getting my hair done at this location, and it was a simple one-color dye. My grandma always got her hair done at SmartStyle back home in WA, so I didn’t think twice about coming here. When I walked in, I was met with a backhanded remark from a stylist about a previous appointment I had to cancel. I canceled because I had to take my child to the ER — as a mom, that will always come first. I decided to stay quiet and proceed, as it was my first day to myself since giving birth. I was then handed off to a different stylist. After the first round of color, my hair was unevenly dyed, so she applied a second round — but it still wasn’t one consistent color. When I got home, I realized there was still dye left in my hair — including a large glob at the back of my neck. They offered for me to come back within a week to try again, but unfortunately, my scalp and skin became red, itchy, and irritated. I now have a swollen ear and bumps around my ears and neck that may leave scars. Being thorough should be a top priority in this kind of work. While the stylist who helped me was kind, this was not the experience I anticipated. I paid full price for the service and still tipped, but I won’t be returning or recommending this particular SmartStyle location.

Rhainey was wonderful. She took the time to go over my hair for an age appropriate haircut, because I was lost as to what I wanted to do. She took the time to listen to my concerns and she advised and educated me with helpful tips. If you want a caring hairstylist, go to Smart Styles in Fountain. Great experience.

Jakob loved how his stylist interacted with him while getting his "favorite haircut ever"... But then again I must say this kid has "the best day ever" a couple times a week 😂 As the adult in the picture here though I must agree he looks and feels even more awesome now 😎 Thanks for the chop 😉

I had my hair done by Angel two weeks ago and absolutely LOVE it!! She is such a sweetheart! I didn't know how to explain what I wanted, she showed two pics on her phone of color she was thinking, I picked and she delivered! I said I'd like my hair a little layered to blend a bit nicer, and have been feeling hippie/shag vibes lately, but hesitant how it would look on me. Let me tell you, She knows what she is doing with hair! The cut is exactly what I've been wanting for the longest. The color is beautiful and blended perfectly, way better than what I had in mind. I just happened to be at Walmart and went in to ask if there were openings, I take back all reservations I had about getting hair done in a Walmart. Angel is a gem y'all! I'm not the best at doing hair, tried to picture the blend and color in different light/style. Bonus- she made sure all deals were applied with service and products, the price was great, and it didn't take all day. Thought I'd be there for hours.. nope! Girl has game y'all! Thank you Angel💜

My stylist left this location, so I finally feel free to leave a true review. My stylist is great, but the manager, Rainey, is loud and obnoxious. She speaks very loudly and was talking smack on the hairstyle I had picked to my stylist while she was mixing up my color in the next room. This happened a few months back, but did you really think I couldn't hear you?
