Leah is a fabulous owner, pedicurist, manicurist and skin care specialist. Her staff knows their work, have great technique and great personalities.

I had a very disappointing experience at Urban Canvas Nails and Skin on August 5, 2025. I arrived for my pedicure appointment expecting to see the technician I had originally booked with. Instead, 15 minutes after my appointment was originally scheduled I was informed without any prior notice that my appointment had been reassigned to a new technician. I was told this person was new and would need 3 hours to complete the pedicure, and was not equipped to do the nail art I had specifically requested when booking. At that point, I decided to walk away without receiving any service. Despite that, the salon still charged me $93. They claimed they had tried to call me, but I received no voicemails. The only communication I could find was a standard confirmation text with the name of the new technician—which I didn’t notice, as they typically send reminder texts like that. I’ll admit it was my mistake not to catch the name, but when there’s a major change to your appointment, you expect a phone call—not a vague text that can be easily overlooked. After a phone call and clarification the owner took care of this and removed the charges.

I had Sophia do a pedicure on me and it was absolutely splendid she did every step while being able to chat with me, she killed it on the design, making sure it was perfect and she made me feel so comfortable in her chair! I had a great time and will be coming again!

I’m torn on writing this review because while I want to make sure everyone knows how talented Leah is, I still want to be able to get in (ha ha)! I’ve been receiving nail art gel pedis from Leah this summer. Besides being a nice person and always fun to talk to, she is an amazing artist! She’s given me abstract flowers, flamingos with palm fronds, tie-dye, and sharks. Yes, sharks!! Salon is always clean and welcoming, and all of the staff I’ve interacted with are lovely. (sorry about gross toe pictures, but SHARKS! Perfect beach colors!)
