Secretive Nail&Beauty Bar

My first few experiences here were fabulous and I absolutely loved how my nails looked. Mind you they were gel extensions which I was told would be safe for my real nails. I recently got the “naked nail” manicure after 6-7 months of gel and gel extensions, it felt like time to give my nails a break. I also had a broken nail which had gel extension on it and noticed my real nails felt extremely weak and was very brittle. The technician even joked it looked so bad I should put a new extension on it! After having secretive nail spa top nail tech remove my gel, my nails are the most unhealthy, weak, brittle, and overall worst condition they’ve ever been in my life. Proceed with caution! I am not sure Russian manicure is the best after all. My toes (no extension) are fine and feel good (for now). For the price you’re paying, information should be honest and straight forward. Gel and gel extension (using UV) have serious health risks associated and more research is coming out proving that to be true.

I posted my experience recently. I do not see it in the reviews. It was the worst experience I have ever had in my many, many years of nail salons Ridiculous prices. $95-125 for a gel manicure. Unprofessionally done. Ridiculous pedicure prices. Leaving uneven nails. Terrible polishing. Extra charge for Channel Polish $15 To fix one nail/ $17 No massage no lotion. I had one toe nail that needed patching . The tech had no idea how to fix a toenail- My friend gave me a surprise $250 gift card and all the money was used. I gave the girls a nice tip. I don’t know why. It was a mistake. I’m a kind person but I don’t like to be taken advantage of by any one or any business. This was such a rip off. Please save your money. I would have rather donated all of the $250 to charity. Also, my friend who gave me the gift card had not been to this salon. She , as always, wanted to do something very nice for me. After that s experience, she will not be going to Selective nails nor will her friends. This place list a lot of money.

Aishen is the absolute best! I also just got my nails done by Kate & she did an amazing, amazing job. Everyone is so friendly and attentive it’s the best manicure spot.

The absolute best manicure in Santa Monica! They do a Russian manicure technique so even though it’s more expensive than a regular manicure it looks so much better and will last you so much longer. I see Kunduz and she is the absolute best, listens to what I want and always shows me a few options to make sure I’m happy with my decision. Cannot recommend enough!

Today was my second time in the salon. I’m so happy with my new nails. Amazing service, great location. Highly recommended 😊
