Curl Up N Dye

I got my hair done with Kelly at Curl Up N Dye, and I have never had anyone destroy my hair the way she did. I don’t know why she would do something like this the only explanation I have come up with is laziness and just unprofessional. I did my first session with her 6 weeks ago she told me I would need two appointment sessions to get my hair where it needed to be. I was fine with it because I understood that getting the hair to a blond takes time. The first session went fine, the only thing I did not like is that I asked for a style and blow out afterwards and did not get that I left looking like a sponge because she had to go to the bank. Mind you I’m understanding and I looked past that because everyone has a life after work. Second appointment I come in and I could tell she is not doing the same process she did the first time but if she is a professional “she knows what she is doing “?? She colors the roots ( does not wash it out) leaves it for as long as she is taking to place the bleach to the rest of my hair then 15-20 minutes later after she lets the bleach sit she washes it all together. Mind you at this point my roots started feeling a burning sensation but I’m trusting her “because she is the professional” and knows what she is doing. She proceeds to taking me back to the chair does not brush my hair and puts on the toner all over the hair without the hair being brushed. Then washes my hair 15 minutes later leaves me in the head sink rinsing area while she takes in another client to cut his hair “ she said it was her son” mind you I been seating in that sink with my head up for 20 minutes while she is working on someone else. Finally comes and gets me and we went back to the chair she finally brushes the hair and blows out a small strand and said she likes the way it came out. I leave the salon with wet hair because she told me I had to baby the hair until it recover. I had never walked out of a salon with wet hair before usually a professional wants to make sure she sees the full outcome before you leave the building. Not her she does not care she is lazy and just wants you out of the chair. I forgot to mention she does not really like to put anything on your hair afterwards no oils, protectants nothing at ALL! Please don’t use her she does not care of her work or her clients. If you don’t believe this review just look at the pictures this is what $420.00 dollars will get you(not including the tip) with her after two sessions 6 weeks apart. Mind you she sent back the $170 for the second session her comment on the refund was unhappy client. Unhappy is an understatement she destroyed my hair to the point that I have to wait for it to recover before anyone can fix it. Her excuse over the phone was “oh I think it’s because I did not brush after I rinse the hair and I just put the toner on top” this is what she said. She told me I could come back so she could fix it! Why would I go back to someone that destroyed my hair to the point of where I’m in tears? She is so unprofessional I don’t think she has a passion for her work or care for a clients hair, its easy money she can charge people hoping it works out. I provided photos of my final result just incase the review is not enough. “This is what an Ashy blond” result is according to Kelly.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! Rhonda does my hair and she is the absolute BEST EVER!! The whole salon is top of the line and I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else for ANY of my beauty needs! If you want to be treated like a QUEEN, you have to go where the QUEENS are-and they are definitely at Curl Up & Dye in Ridgecrest!

Got my haircut with Amy, she was very nice, professional, and quick. Just in under an hour she had wash, cut, and dried my hair to perfection and for a very reasonable price. I'm very pleased with the end result, it was somewhere in between a picture I brought and what was best for my hair type which ended up working great for me. Completely recommend this place.
