Lux Nail Spa

I had previously got my nails done at a “nail salon” in Peninsula Town Center located in Hampton, that’s next to a suite of hair salons. The service I hot was an overlay on my nails and the job was horrible. Within a week I was already experiencing lifting and terrible chipping. So, on a Sunday I was desperately trying to find a nail salon that was open late. So, I could just get the overlay taken off and be done. I walked in to Lux Nail Spa, at about an hour and a half before closing. They greeted me and were happy to service me. My nail tech was Kelsey. She quickly noticed the disappointment from my past experience and helped me with the best solution for what I wanted and goals for my natural nails. Kelsey was gentle, meticulous and quick. She had to remove the overlay and build the gel on my nails. I told her that I will definitely be back and Ive learned my lesson lol. I didn’t get a picture the day of, but I feel like the real test of quality is after its been some time, seeing how it held up and it’s been over a week of working, washing and cleaning with my hands. And my nails still look pretty☺️. Also, I paid $70 which was the same price at the other salon for less being done and TERRIBLE WORK!

Lux Nail Spa is truly my favorite nail salon in Yorktown! Prices are always discussed upfront, and the technicians are professional, gentle, and really listen to what you want. They always keep up with the newest nail designs and high-quality supplies. I’ve been coming here for almost a year now, and I’ll keep returning with my friends and family. It’s the perfect place if you love cleanliness, relaxation, and excellent service!

Jenny did my nails here and they came out absolutely stunning! This was my first time coming and they were so sweet and accommodating. She went above and beyond to get me the style of nails I wanted. The salon is so cute and clean. Every staff member I encountered was so kind. I will absolutely be coming back!

I love getting my nails done at Lux Salon! They’re always welcoming and work hard to get you what you want! Their pedicures are a great too, and help you to feel relaxed and renewed!

EDIT: Changing my review to 5 stars. They called me back and fixed my nails for free. The lady that did my nails was Maya and she was very nice and made sure that I was happy with my toes before I left. For reference of work, in the pictures I posted the new toes are a lighter pink with a black E initial. Old review: Went in for just a gel pedicure, and it definitely wasn't the best work, especially for $80 (I did ask for the deluxe pedicure which is why it was more expensive). The salon was super nice though, and the chairs were actually nice. I've tried like 6 other nails salons in the area and this one I think is the nicest so far, I'll probably just try a different nail tech. I thought the pedicure turned out a little sloppy and I was left with nail polish still on my skin and paraffin wax still on my feet. The other thing that might deter me in the future is that their example nail colors definitely did not match what was in the bottle and how it came out on my nails. I wanted a more pale pink and actually tried 2 different colors based on their example nails, and both colors that I chose ended up more hot pink or this kind of bubblegum pink. I just didn't want to keep being picky and changing colors.
