McKayla Nails & Spa - Nail Salon Owensboro KY

today me and my boyfriend came in to get a mani and pedi! from the start i had a feeling id love this place, i came in at 5 and they closed at 6 without any hesitation they gladly let me in and did an amazing job! on the pedi, if felt so good, after i wasn’t sure if i would get my mani done because i didn’t want to keep them out later than they had to but the amazing guy that did my nails did them anyway! and even took his time and had great conversations! this man stayed till 8 when they closed at 6 just so that way i was satisfied with my nails to say the least they all were incredibly nice!

The first few times I have went it all was great. Today was absolutely awful. Lin drilled my nails down to rough dagers. All the edges are snagging and not painted. None of the nails are even. I pointed out the problems no apologize was even offered. These are my natural nails, I prefer not to wear the artificial ones. Not even sure how to fix this other then go home and cut them all off. So extremely disappointed.

I was excited to find a place that was just nice and cozy. The reviews are amazing. My experience wasn’t good. The people seem nice. I used the dipping powder for the first time. (Never again). First, I have at least 3 nails that are crooked. Two, One nail isn’t even covering my whole nail. I’m such a peoples pleaser tho, I swallowed it and just took it. It’s okay. I’m not going to cause a fuss. 7 hours later, I’m picking up my dog off the floor and my nail BRARLY hits my gaming chair and breaks off. I’ve very disappointed. I just wanted my nails done for thanksgiving/my birthday.

The salon is always very clean & the people are always very nice. Yesterday was my fourth visit and will be the last. I am trying to grow out my nails, so I like to use the dip powder for extra strength to prevent me from breaking my natural nail. Yesterday I went in to get my dip changed. They did not soak off the old polish, just filed most of it off with the drill. I asked for a new nail shape, which I did not get. The skin around my nails was filed with the drill more than my actual nails, so today 8 of my 10 fingers are incredibly sore due to the irritated skin. The powder is not even, I have waves on many of my nails including a huge lump on my index finger. And finally, because you could still see the old polish color from the underside, he filed off any of my natural nail that extended beyond the tip of my finger.

Very happy did a great job! Exactly how I wanted it!! They were very kinda and made my day thank yall very much! Hope to come back soon!
