V&V Nails

I’m honestly so sad to write this because I used to love this salon. I’ve been here many times before and always had good experiences, so my boyfriend paid for me to get my nails done before our upcoming trip. Unfortunately, this visit was awful from start to finish. I called ahead around 2 p.m. on the 31st to make sure someone there could do nail art, since I know not every tech can. I was told yes, so I booked. The first tech asked what shape I wanted, and I showed her a reference photo — she said no problem. Once she started shaping, I realized they looked way thicker than the photo and had no C curve. When I mentioned it and showed the picture again, she told me that shape “wasn’t possible,” even though she’d already said it was. She then admitted she used the wrong tips and would have to redo them — but instead of doing that, she passed me off to another tech. The second tech reshaped the nails, and while they looked slightly better, my cuticles were in rough shape. She clipped them so much it hurt, and the acrylic was flooding into my cuticles. I asked for a small initial added to the design for my boyfriend since it was a trip gift from him, but she pushed back and said she only wanted to do exactly what was in the photo. She eventually agreed, but the chrome got all over my already irritated cuticles, and by the time I left, I was rushed out without any cuticle oil or lotion. When I got home, I realized none of my nails were the same length or shape, the design wasn’t centered, and the quality was honestly embarrassing — the chrome even started peeling after I showered that night. I went back to the salon asking for a refund and removal, hoping they’d see the condition of my nails and understand. Instead, I was told I “didn’t speak up enough” and that they don’t do refunds. The manager on the phone basically made it sound like I just wanted free nails, which was insulting. We paid over $100 and will be charging back on the card and paying a salon that can actually provide the service promised. They finally agreed to remove them, but the process was just as bad. I sat soaking in acetone for about an hour, and they still tried to send me out with acrylic left on my nails. I had to ask multiple times for them to clean it out of my cuticles. The tech used the tiniest bit of oil, said “it’s done,” and walked away as I was trying to thank her. I left with sore, damaged cuticles and acrylic still stuck to my nails. Between the poor workmanship, rude attitude, and lack of hygiene, I won’t be coming back or recommending this salon anymore. It’s really disappointing because I used to trust this place, but this experience was careless and unprofessional from start to finish.

I have been going to V & V Nails for 8 years. Mai has a wonderful nail salon! They are always welcoming and have great ideas for new nail styles. Emma is AMAZING! I am very picky about how my nails look and feel. I always leave satisfied and confident they will hold up to how rough I am on them. If you're looking for a new nail spot, check them out!

I don’t get my nails done often and decided to try something new with the shape. Vin was the tech who did my nails and did an amazing job! I have never gone into a nail salon & not had to tell myself “trust the process” until that day . & it was affordable ! This was the best experience I have had !

Great experience they are super kind. My hands were a little stand as you can see in the photo but they didn’t care and tried to help out and they nails were beautiful and lovely. I love it
