Vanity Hair Studio

Second time here at vanity studio - Amber was my stylist this time. Both times were great but finally reviewing now. I think for the service the cost is very good - there is great attention to detail and a really good job. I didn’t look much at costs in the area but it seems appropriate to me and the quality of the work is definitely worth it. In addition to a good cut and blow dry, Amber did a great job with the shampooing - it was so relaxing! I plan on continuing to use this hair studio, and Amber in particular, for my future cuts.

Amber does AMAZING work!! I used to go to her when she worked at another hair salon and since she left, missed her terribly. I know I can get an affordable quality haircut, friendly service, and wonderful scalp shampooing. So relaxing!! I’m so glad I was able to find her at Vanity Hair Studio! Also, I didn’t get it this visit but she does excellent Balayage coloring too.

I went in today for the first time to get my hair cut at Vanity and Stephanie did a great job. We discussed what hair cut would work with my hair type and the final product was definitely worth it. When i first walked in, i was quite anxious but Stephanie put my mind at ease and we had a a pleasant conversation the whole time.

This is my second haircut with Amber and she did a great job both times. I have wavy/curly hair so I’m pretty particular about it. Amber listened attentively and did exactly as I asked. I recommended her to a friend and she was happy with her cut too.

I was really looking forward to my haircut here after reading so many amazing reviews — like I literally chose this salon based off the reviews and I hadn’t had my hair cut in over a year and was so excited! The salon itself has a great vibe overall; I loved that it was full of women and had such positive energy when I walked in. Unfortunately, my experience with Amber wasn’t what I expected. She seemed a bit cold and not very friendly from the start, which surprised me since the rest of the salon felt so warm. I figured maybe it was just a long day, but the energy never really improved. During the wash, she gave a very intense head and neck massage — it started off nice but quickly became painful. She noticed I flinched, asked if it hurt (I said yes), and then continued anyway, which was uncomfortable. When it came time to styling my hair after she cut it, the curls weren’t quite my taste (not a big deal), but I did notice she left a large section uncurled and just tucked it behind the rest to hide it? The whole appointment felt rushed and not really worth the cost. Also, I thought my appointment was $65 when I booked, but it ended up being $75 at checkout. If the extra cost was for styling, I really would’ve appreciated knowing that beforehand, especially since I just went home and brushed it out. The two other stylists in the salon seemed lovely and exactly the kind of friendly, welcoming energy I was hoping for, but sadly, my experience with Amber missed the mark. I probably wouldn’t return, but I can totally see why others have had better luck here! — Hi, thank you for responding! I’m afraid I’m a bit disappointed with my haircut. I requested curtain bangs, but they ended up at a very odd length and already look grown out. They’re also uneven, and only a small amount of hair was used for the bangs, which wasn’t what I expected. I do appreciate the clarification about the price, but unfortunately, I don’t feel the experience was worth $75.
