Luxie Nails and Spa

I saw Jenny today for an acrylic fill with gel polish. I appreciated how she cross checked the lengths of each nail because not all technicians do. I also have never had a nail tech fill the nail with acrylic all the way beck to where it starts, so I was pleasantly surprised. I’m so used to other techs at other nail salons leaving a very slight gap so you have to get a fill sooner. Jenny was very kind and worked with my awkward curvy nail that has grown out funny since I injured it in the 4th grade. If they only served adult beverages like other nail salons, it would be a perfect experience!

I made an appointment and went in for my nails. I was welcomed by Katie who checked me in. I was impressed that I did not have to wait, as I have previously always had to wait at other places despite making an appointment. She asked me what I wanted and we had a chat where I explained what I wanted. She listened, made recommendations and did a FANTASTIC job. I also appreciate that she did not leave me from start to finish and she was the only one who did my nails. I'd also like to point out how impeccably clean, tidy, organized and clutter free the space is. It is also very tastefully decorated. Thankyou for the fantastic work and excellent service Katie. After going to almost all of the places in Lakewood I think I have found my home.

I went in for a pedicure on Friday the 15th and I was very disappointed. It felt very rushed and not very much care or time was taken. I paid for the upgraded smoothing pedicure, spent well over 70 dollars including tip and when I got home I noticed everything was just choppy and rushed. When I had gotten there I was immediately sat down, barely anytime to pick out a color dispute being 10 minutes early. That’s fine no big deal, but then I sat down and the lady next to me still had water in her thing. When she started my pedicure as I stated it was all so rushed and not good. By the time she was draining my water I couldn’t help but notice the girl next to me looking just as shocked as I was who still had water and started way before me. Okay, I thought to myself maybe she paid for the really upgraded pedicure. So she goes over my feet, I had to ask a second time for her to go over my feet. This is a smoothing pedicure. I’ve paid for a deluxe and gotten better results then I did with the 70 Dollar pedicure I paid for. When I got home I still had to scrape off dead skin with a callus remover because there was still noticeable spots of dead skin I could not only feel but they were sticking out of my feet. Definitely not smooth. Worst of all my toes are so uneven it is bothering me. This is what a week of grow out should look like, not one day. And the big toes look completely different. One toe is properly covered with polish while the other toe looks like it’s going on a few days to a week of grow out. I haven’t had a pedicure in a long time so for this to be my experience I definitely wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

As someone who is VERY picky about my nails and never lets anyone touch them, Luxie is the only place I’ll go!! The staff is very nice and accommodating, you get a complimentary drink, and the salon is very clean. I usually like to get nail art and Katie always kills it ☺️ They very are busy though, so make an appointment online or call!!

I absolutely love coming to Luxie Nail Salon! I’ve had several manicures and pedicures here, and every time has been wonderful. The people are so friendly and welcoming, and they really take pride in their work. My nails always look great, and the atmosphere is relaxed and cheerful. It’s such a nice place to treat yourself—highly recommend! 💅✨
