Historically, I had good experiences here. I've had cuts, pedicures and waxing-without issue. This week I booked a cut & color online with Hailey. Today it snowed and I was waiting to see if my appointment was going to get canceled. I received no phone call but before I was about to drive in the snow, I wanted to be sure there were no issues-so I called them. Lady who answered was very nice. She explained that I was not on the schedule because the stylist couldn't get out of her driveway and the stylist blacked out her day. I told her I totally understand if someone can't get there or even if they wanted to be safe and just stay home, as snow driving can be difficult. What I didn't understand, didn't appreciate is that the stylist canceled my appointment and did not have the decency to call to let me know! The lady I spoke to couldn't even see I had an appointment because the stylist simply erased it. I told her I made the appointment in the beginning of the week but she couldn't even verify it because I was erased. The salon charges you if you last minute cancel- but they have no protocol for their stylist if they cancel you and don't even tell you!? I am just floored that the stylist would have such little consideration for other people willing to make the drive in the snow. Welp, gonna look for another salon because that is so unprofessional and unacceptable.

Today I had a waxing appointment with Maura, and she was amazing! A total perfectionist, and she was very personable. She did a great job of distracting me with good conversation during the waxing session. Normally when I get home from waxing I’ll find patches of hair that got missed, but she didn’t miss any! She will be my go-to girl for waxing for as long as I live in the Lynchburg area! Highly recommend!

I wanted to work with the salon to have my hair styled for my wedding. They sent me a brochure spelling out their prices, including travel fees/etc. It seemed within my budget and I booked the trial (which cost the same amount as the day of the wedding, but I was prepared for that per their brochure). I had the trial completed and was satisfied with the results, so I confirmed to be booked for my wedding. When booking, the scheduler apologized and stated there was a “4 treatment minimum” (my hair plus some bridesmaids/etc) for bridal scheduling with travel, and said they gave me the wrong brochure which had not been updated with this information. I did not need more treatments for my bridesmaids/etc. They apologized and, after I asked for it, they said they would take a little bit off of the price of what would have been 4 treatments to have only my hair completed. All that being said, the price still almost doubled the price that I was expecting per their brochure they gave me. Had I known they had this policy, I would not have paid money for the trial I had. They haven’t gotten back to me about any sort of refund after I asked about it. Be aware of this policy for any other brides looking to book with this company.

If you are looking for a good masseuse, Megan is amazing!! I’m a dental hygienist with chronic back pain, and she has been an absolute lifesaver. I see her every two weeks, and she consistently helps relieve my tension while being so kind and attentive. I can’t recommend her enough!

Usually I had a great experiences at studio style but my most recent was not good. I had gone in for pink highlights but I did not realize I had booked with a level 1 stylist. I called the salon and asked if I should switch but they assured me this stylist could handle it. The highlighting process went fine and I want paying attention as I had showed her an inspo picture and she took a picture of it. After the highlights she did not condition my hair and was deranging my hair. Then to color the highlights she was hand picking them out and I took a long time. I thought she was being thorough and didn’t think much of it. Once she put on the color I really couldn’t see the top of my head but once she blow dried to , it was nothing like the picture. I had been at the salon for 5.5 hours at this point and was so tired I just paid and went home. The highlights are to the root and on the top of my head where I did not want them and I expressed that. Also my picture didn’t have color at the root. It was Thursday night and I had commitments so I had to fix my hair myself as I couldn’t walk outside with this hair. As my mom was helping me fix it she noticed entire strands with no color. I am beyond angry with this and I called to express how I felt over voicemail and not return call. I am not comfortable seeing this stylist again and I do not trust studio style at all now. Keep in mind their satisfaction policy it just be fixed by the same stylist. Beware who you book with! I will not be back for any service this broke the trust I had.
