The Clip Shop - Bennington

I moved to VT in 2016 from CT and continued to travel back to my stylist until 2018. At the suggestion of a coworker I made an appointment with Jessica and could not have been happier. Her talent is next level and I genuinely enjoy our conversations at every visit. Just recently, I had a manicure in addition to my hair appointment and it was fantastic. The atmosphere of the Clip Shop is always pleasant, it is clean, bright and welcoming and I am so happy to have found it.

The Clip Shop is a very professional salon that is a place to relax and leave beautiful. Jessica listens and accommodates my quest for changes in my hairstyle. I always leave happy. Highly recommend them.

I got my hair done at the Clip Shop for my wedding. I had a trial before with Jenna and we worked out a style. On the day of, I came in with a new style and she nailed it. It was exactly what I wanted and it held through hours of dancing at my wedding. I was so happy with the services I received there and would highly recommend Jenna if you are looking for something special! The communication from the receptionist is also very helpful and they send reminders.

This place is great. Expert help and great prices. Plenty of free parking and quick in and out. I highly recommend them really. I drew an animation still and signed it and gave it the manager.

I am a New Hampshire resident and I was traveling to New York one day and decided to stop to get a trim, a Mani and a Pedi. I decided to visit the Clip shop because it had five stars. Needless to say, I had a great experience until that night when the dazzle dry polish completely peeled off my thumbnail, and then nail by nail did the same thing in the next few days. The only thing I had done was cook dinner and wash dishes with gloves on. I called the next morning to let them know what happened and the receptionist I spoke to agreed to discuss it and give me a call back to schedule an appointment. Needless to say, I never heard back from anybody so I called again a few days later. A different receptionist answered and apologized stating it must’ve been her and agreed to schedule an appointment with me at 2:30 possibly 4:30 the next day because I was not available in the morning. Needless to say after scheduling the appointment, I receive a voicemail the next morning stating that they will see me at 11:45 am, when I made it perfectly clear I could not make it that early. However, I didn’t receive the message before it was too late, as I was a hour and a half away. I spoke to the same receptionist again and she basically told me that somebody had gone online and booked in my appointment slot. I asked why I didn’t get the same treatment as a new appointment just because I was a redo? That doesn’t hold my spot? Needless to say they could not get me in for the rest of the day and when I tried to explain to the receptionist, she was short, I asked her to please have the manager call me, since she had been speaking with her about the situation. Needless to say she hung up on me and I have not heard anything back. I never leave bad reviews, but I paid $50 to get my nails done and they peeled off that night after being told that they would last about three weeks with no chips or anything and it seems they don’t care to make it right, I gave them three opportunities. To be blatantly rude is out of line, this is not good service, it was very unprofessional & unacceptable & yet no one even cares to make it right! I should be getting a refund/gift certificate for a redo/future service, something 🤷‍♀️, I gave up, I don’t even want to go back there again. It is horrible when a customer feels uncomfortable when it was not their fault and they did everything so kindly to make it right. In reference to the owners response: I agreed to see anyone at their availability, I did not refuse to see anyone. Your receptionist made the appointment and didn’t reserve my place and allowed a new customer to take it. It was not a training, it was a wedding. I did not require that date/time, your staff offered it, then called in the morning knowing I’m about 2 hours away telling me to come in one hour when she knew I couldn’t make it, then she was rude and hung up on me, I asked for a call back from management/owner, whoever she was discussing this with and she hung up I never received a call back. I kindly, patiently and flexibly agreed. If you’re so concerned about meeting customers needs/expectations… Why did I not receive a call? A refund something? Worst customer service ever, this response is only to try to make it seem as though I was being difficult. I would have gladly seen the same stylist. I didn’t pay $50 + $15 tip for my nails to peel that night. I’d pass on the Dazzle Dry that’s supposed to last up to 3 weeks with no chips! Thanks for nothing, yes now I’m mad, if you would just do the right thing and fix this, this review wouldn’t even be here! I even offered time dated photos, see attached the night of the service & the next morning 👎🏻
