Royale Retreat Nails Spa

I went here because it’s closer than my place of 20 years. It was just too hard to get to during lunch. Royale is right on my street. I sort of picked a name when I scheduled online, which is super convenient. I booked with Vivian and I have to say I’m so glad I did!! I should have bought a lottery ticket too because apparently the stars were perfectly aligned to put moth with this amazing nail expert. She is meticulous and really knows her stuff. The nail salon is impeccably clean and the other staff is very nice as well. I will never go anywhere else.

It was our first time checking out this nail salon, and we were really impressed! The location is super convenient—right next to one of our favorite coffee shops (Rang). We visited on a Sunday, about an hour after they opened, and were seated right away with no wait. They were running a 30% off pedicure deal, which was perfect since my husband and I both wanted one. I chose the Milk & Honey pedicure while he got the Tropical pedicure. Right from the start, they brought us water and candy, which was such a thoughtful touch. The service itself was excellent—our technicians were very detail-oriented, the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, and we basically had the salon to ourselves for two hours. The extras were what really stood out: they added rose petals and cucumbers to my legs with a mask, roses to my husband’s legs, and then steamed the masks, which made everything feel really luxe. While they don’t serve cocktails (something some nail salons offer), I honestly didn’t miss it because the level of attention and pampering more than made up for it. My tip? Grab a coffee from next door and then head in for a pedicure—you’ll leave feeling spoiled and refreshed. Highly recommend!

Putting clear coat over matte defeats the purpose! It looks okay as is but still, it wasn’t the finish I was expecting. My tech Hannah did the best she could. I didn’t have an appointment. It was my first visit. I called to ask if they take walk-ins. I showed them a picture of what I wanted. They didn’t have a dark chocolate brown color so I chose a color that seemed as dark. First coat was a shocking bold purple. They tried multiple coats to get the deep dark color theme. I hesitated to accept it bc I didn’t want a thick coat of polish but didn’t want to waste time searching for a replacement color. The dark purple did end up being so thick that the polish ran a little. At least she didn’t cut me or nick my cuticles. 4 times out of 5, the tech gets too aggressive with the cuticle cutter. Before starting I explained to Hannah that I have thin cuticles so I asked her to be careful. She was gentle through and through. It was my first time getting Builder Gel. I normally only get shellac. So far, I’m pretty happy. I’d come back but maybe ask for a simpler design, and come with polish free nails because they had to remove my existing shellac with a drill file and the dust was just suspended in the air making it uncomfortable for me to want to breathe it in. There was no fan or vent directing it away.

It was my first time here and the service was exceptional. Henry did my pedicure and he gave me the best massage I’ve ever had at a nail salon. My feet feel amazing! Also shout out to Niki who did my full set. I came in with an inspo pic and she did it beautifully. She really took her time shaping my nails and I am so in love with my new set. Everything felt luxurious & I will definitely be back!

The ladies were extremely nice and fun to talk to! Everything was extremely clean and organized. They had great hospitality and made sure we were comfortable and relaxed the whole way through. Will definitely come here again! :)
