Orchid Nails & Spa

Please read this before going to orchid! I do not recommend this place at all. Here’s why. I paid $200 to get a manicure and a pedicure. I paid for acrylics and I paid for nail art. Three of my nails are crooked as they glued on the tips, and every single nail has a different shape, some of the areas where there is polish they are bubbly and clumpy, other parts of the nail don’t even have a topcoat either. After getting the acrylic put on and the lady filed them down with an electric file all of them have a different shape. I showed her the design before I had any work started and she said yes she could do that. I picked out the colors I wanted and they were unable to do the design I had asked. The whole time I was getting my manicure done I was being chastised for being a stay at home mother who homeschools ( this came up because she said she had not seen me around and I told her I was a stay at home mother who homeschools. I got quite the tongue lashing for homeschooling my sons as well as not having any daughters). If she was not working on my nails which I had paid for I would have left immediately. After my manicure was done and I went to get my pedicure done and the lady and her husband had an argument about the design I asked for on my big toe. She told him not to do it the way I had asked and when he did it the way she told him to do it it was wrong and I asked him to fix it and he was angry. Again, the design was wrong and I did not ask for anything complicated. I paid extra for shellac and two days later pieces of it were chipping off. Three days after my manicure, my nails had already started lifting. I tried calling back to ask if they would like to be given a chance to fix my nails but they never called me back. For the amount of money I paid, my nails should not look the way they are. I highly recommend making the trip to Sioux Falls to find a better place. I would have posted a review sooner but I wasn’t exactly sure how to word it. Considering that I am never going back, I do not care if they know who I am by showing the kind of work they did. Again, I do not recommend them at all. Nobody should have to pay $200 for a terrible job to be done on their nails as well as being beaten down for their life choices.

This place is dirty! The older guy was RUDE, harsh & he used cold water for my foot bath. He was overwelmed with the amount of clients coming in with set appointments. His rough approach, left my heels CUT 3times. We arrived 15 minutes early but the whole place was running behind HE RUSHED from one pedicure to another without washing his hands between clients. I go in to have a pedicure as a relaxing part of my day but this left me upset and tense. For the price it was NOT a spa experience!

To say I was very dissatisfied leaving this nail salon is an understatement. I was in town for a wedding and had reservations for a group of us to get our nails and toes done. We had to sit and wait 15 minutes before we even got sat in chairs. Once in the chairs, many of us sat for 40 minutes before anyone came to begin pedicures. The actual massage portion was great. The polish looks like my 8 year old did it. There are parts not even painted or only one coat. Manicure is a whole story in itself. I requested a specific design & asked if fake nails were needed to get what was shown. I was told they would talk about it and let me know. After sitting there for another 30+ minutes, they came back and began working on my nails without doing fake, I again asked & was then told I probably wouldn’t get the design I wanted and it was now “too late” for fake nails to be put on. It has not even been 1 week and I have 2 nails with shellac left!!! They’ve all peeled completely off already! My daughter also requested fake nails for her very first time. She was so excited! They made it seem like she was way too young and they didn’t have time to do that. After I finally requested it is what she wanted they sat her down to do them but definitely had attitude about it. For $175 I will never return. I can’t believe I paid that much and my nails are already gone. To top it off, I had a visa gift card I tried using. She said “it is declining, this is why we don’t like gift cards.” I called the card place & it said there was still plenty of money on it. She definitely wasn’t willing to try it again as she handed it back to me as quick as she could.

Don’t waste your time going here… just went in & asked for a pedi wasn’t even busy & they said not today… DONT you worry I will NEVER come back again… I just moved to the area and at my old place. I used to go every other week and believe me you will not be getting my service. Don’t waste your time with. I recommend this place. Absolutely not a big thumbs down.👎👎

60 dollars for the most violent 20 minute pedicure I have ever experienced. He was rude and so rushed that he was only doing half the steps. I get pedicures on a regular basis and I know everyone does them differently but some things are just obvious. I asked if I could have a design and he said maybe later. I canceled my appointment for fills because I wasn’t sure how much longer I could handle being there. This is the second time I've had a terrible experience there. But there are not many choices in the area unfortunately.
