Lux Nails and Spa

This is the second negative experience I’ve had with this establishment. I got a full set of French tip acrylics done exactly 9 days ago. Not even two weeks later every single nail is lifting. There are very noticeable imperfections - not smooth nail surface, nails aren’t an even length, they weren’t applied straight, tons of air bubbles meaning the top coats didn’t properly cure, etc. Today while getting dressed my pinky nail completely lifted and ripped the natural nail underneath. I was able to remove the lifted acrylic myself but the nail is cracked down to the nail bed and exposed now. I went in to try and get my money back - at least the cash portion as I paid partially with a gift card - and was refused. I was told every nail lifting is “normal 9 day grow out” and that they will just offer to fix them once the nail is healed. The actual “grow out” itself is very minimal as my nails don’t grow fast. The acrylics themselves are completely lifting on every single finger due to poor technique and that is not normal. Honestly I’m not sure if I trust them to properly apply and fix my nails so I’m not sure if I’ll come back.

Everyone here is amazing. Yoda is my guy. But each and every one here has fantastic talents and specialties! Always call ahead for an apt, but walk-ins are welcomed. I say if you have 2 or more, call ahead or in advance by days, depending on what you want done. Voted the best for a reason!

Very impressed with the place, the people and the services! It's a hidden gem on the east side and we'll definitely go back. We had 4 pedicures done together and what a blast - I don't normally leave reviews but just HAD to after our appointment this evening! All 4 of our techs were personable, professional, and very FUN!! Made a great memory for my mom's & aunt's birthdays!! Thank u!

Kim is the best ever!! I have had my nails and pedicures done other places but nothing is like this place. She is so good that I travel back every month in the winter from Florida to have Kim do my nails and pedicures.

Had an amazing experience. Suzy was the one to do my nails. She made sure I got what my inspiration picture was, in fact she did it better than the picture. Would 100% go back.
