MV Nails

I went for the first time today, obviously they had a very open schedule and I got booked very quickly. The service was wonderful, they gave me time to choose my perfect color and easily let me change to getting gel polish instead of regular. The prices are amazing, especially for the combo deals, as I got a mani-pedi deal. The employees were very kind, as well as the customers inside the salon. They’ve built a wonderful clientele of fun and down to earth people. The result of my service was exactly what I wanted, when the glitter didn’t apply right my stylist found a new option that worked even better. I’m really excited to come back in the future! I’m giving two stars and that’s only because the lady who did my nails was nice and friendly.(see more at the end) However, my partner and I went to MV Nails this afternoon for the first time for manis & pedis. While the above is true the man who did my partners mani & pedi was awful. He did her nails so thick that they didn’t dry. I thought all was well because he decided to re-do her messed up hand. When she was done she came out and they were lumpy, uneven and there was polish all over her fingers. He didn’t even file them and the build up was so thick on the edges it’s already showing signs of peeling. As she is not the type of person to say anything and easily embarrassed she let me pay and tip both workers $25 each and was too embarrassed to go back in. I am beyond upset because someone in this profession KNOWS they did an awful job and should never let someone leave with nails like this let alone still charge them extra for the gel polish. Her being her first time getting a manicure had no idea how Gel polish worked but still knew they shouldn’t look the way they turned out. I wasn’t even planning to write a review but after getting home noticed my big toe is also messed up and then received the email requesting a review and couldn’t not say something. I would NEVER recommend this nail salon. I’m not sure if the owner or other workers are aware of how awful this guy is and unfortunately I don’t know his name but this is unacceptable. I will add pictures but the man who did her nails was in the second row back far left booth beside the wall. The pictures of her hands are from the parking lot right after. My toe is from when we got home.

I don’t go anywhere but here, all of the staff is lovely. They don’t get offended when you ask for what you want. I usually stick to pedicure services since I do my own nails, but today I got a hard gel overlay on my natural nails and the nail tech did a perfect job.

I just left the salon after my second visit. Sunny and V were fantastic. I’ve been getting my nails done for 25 years and can count on 1 hand how many salons have been so welcoming and inviting. MV nails was both. I will certainly be back!

first time coming here & I loved it! mike did such a good job. definitely my new nail spot! update: i’m 2 days shy of 4 weeks with this set & I have minimal to no lifting! HIGHLY RECOMMEND MIKE. 🩵🩵
