Am Nail Bar 2 (next to Ross)

I had been going to this nail salon for about 6 months. I don’t like being charged extra for using my debit card/credit card, this is the only one I’ve been to that charges extra. Not only that, but I decided to go back today (after 3 months of not going) & I wish I wouldn’t have. The nail tech was not at all friendly or welcoming. I asked her not to cut down my natural nail, only to shape them up. She cut them shorter anyway, & now they look choppy, & she rushed. I didn’t get her name, but she has burnt orange hair, & no personality whatsoever. I’ll go back to the nail salon I had been going to. I only went today, because it was convenient for me/I had shopping to do where they’re located. UPDATE-I called & spoke to Andy, owner. He was very apologetic and listened to me. I really appreciate that. He invited me to come back to the salon, ask for him and he would do everything he could to make me happy. I appreciate a business owner doing what they can to make a bad service experience better for their clients.

I wasn’t going to even write a review but all I can say is that my first experience here was not the best. I should have listened to those reviews I saw but wanted to give them a chance! I requested my nails a certain way & even bought in my own XXXL tips & was told I couldn’t get them. If I’m spending my hard earned money, I want to get what I want & should have just left but I had my daughter w/ me & had gotten her nails done as well. After I was told I couldn’t get them, they immediately started speaking Vietnamese & she kept laughing while pointing at my nails, showing the other techs my nails…that’s what gave me the impression they were talking about me. I also have cuticle cuts from the drill & it still is sore days later & nails missing paint in some areas. I’m disgusted by the behavior & even my husband pointed it out & said they was rude (he’s a very quiet person) I will not be visiting this place again, ill take the 45 min drive to my regular tech in Lexington. That’s what I get for not sticking with what I know!

I am normally not one to complain, but my service was not great. The tech did a really poor job with polishing my nails. When I pointed it out, and asked her to redo two nails.. she had an attitude and charge me for redoing the two nails that SHE painted terribly. They all looked bad, but I settled for having the worst two re-painted. As you can see in the photos, My nail polish is very uneven. They look like a child painted them. I also asked for an eyebrow wax and tint. The lady disregarded what I said and just waxed them and then the manager tried to convince me that I didn’t need my brows tinted because the wax “looked good” (because she did it in the wrong order.) I would not recommend. A total waste of money. *Edit* you cannot make someone get gel polish because your technicians are not able to properly polish nails with regular polish. I am pregnant and the fumes from gel bother me. I have been to several salons that are able to paint with regular polish flawlessly. The tech started painting at different intervals on the nail for each coat. So the starting point for EACH coat is visible. She removed polish and repainted two nails ONCE per my request and it was still terrible, nor did she apply a base coat on said nails. Once again, highly dissatisfied.

I enjoyed the salon. So glad it was open later then any other salon on a sunday!! Was clean,staff was nice. Had the specific clear blush pink I wanted. Pedicure was awesome. Price was higher than I'm used to. But I needed a reset! And it was def that.

charged me $97 for my nails to look absolutely terrible and when I called and complained, they told me to come back and get my nails fixed. I came back. They still charge me $35. They are completely unprofessional. The owner was literally rude to me because I was unhappy with my nails. I’ll upload a picture of what I asked for versus what I got and you guys can be the judge. zero stars all around I will never be back and I will tell all of my friends to never ever go there
