ALTÆR Mobile Sauna

This was so amazing!! Highly recommend to anyone in the RI area (honestly even worth traveling out of state for). We cold plunged in the ocean 5x during the hour and it was truly invigorating. The view (even with clouds) is spectacular and the woman running the sauna/keeping the fire going was so wonderful. She had an amazing vibe and the best smelling essential oils. We’ll 100% be back and we’re telling all of our friends to give it a try too!

I have visited the sauna several times and it is always a wonderful experience. I come away feeling somehow more relaxed and also super invigorated. Social saunas bring together cool groups of people and Kayla is always so warm and friendly. This is a unique and special place.

The perfect flow—warm sauna heat, then a refreshing dip in the ocean, and back again. It’s like hitting reset for your mind and body, a simple rhythm that brings deep Zen and total calm. Honestly, one of the most peaceful and unique experiences I’ve ever had. Not to be missed!

What an incredible experience! The sauna was nice and hot, with a gorgeous view of the Rhode Island shore. We loved popping out a few times to plunge in the sea. We did a Social, which means we got to enjoy our experience with other sauna lovers, which really added to our session. We felt well taken care of the whole time. Can't wait to go back!

UPDATE: Second, third, fourth, fifth (I’ve lost track!) experience have been just as wonderful! They’ve added an additional stairway pole to make easier for us seniors to pop up two steps. Altaer Sauna had become a “must do” in my self care routine! Thank you again Kayla and team! FIRST EXPERIENCE: This experience was a first for me…and certainly not the last! Highly recommend this for those of us “seniors” 😉. Kayla and her partner on site are kind and patient and attentive. Signed up for the “quiet” one-hour session. Could hear and see the waves crashing right outside the sauna window. The sauna itself is so well made and elegant. I personally took 4 breaks from the heat and stepped outside to cool off for a few minutes. I walked into the ocean just up to my knees but other women in the sauna did plunge fully in. Outside temperature was 32 degrees and the sauna got to around 170 degrees. The experience was invigorating and lasting. To me, this was as good as getting a full body massage. The only slight challenge was the step up to the sauna from the ground which is a tad challenging for my older knees. Can’t wait to come back!
